Fail to get bow into skyrim

Hi,

Im the creator of this mod : Bamboo Quarterstaffs For Skyrim.

For addon to my mod I want to add a bamboo bow.

I have made a bow in 3ds-max and tried to add it to skyrim with this Tutorial.

I cant get this tutorial to work.

I even cant do a basic thing - I cant take a working bow from skyrim, import to 3ds max including the bones, export to nif and take its mesh unto the same nif orginal file (end result won't load right in the ck\skyrim - the whole mesh is messed up or in some cases not loaded).

can somenoe link me on another tutorial? maybe a video?

I have watched both of those above tutorials, they did not really help aside from teaching me how to import custom models into the engine, which i already knew how to do.

 

Importing the models themselves isnt too much differnet for bows(there is some differences as bows have to be skinned), but setting them up in Nifskope and the CK is a lot different. So I too would like to hear from anyone who has created a custom bow how they did it, because it seems to be quite complicated haha.
