theGregWhite
vortex is the first mod manager that i have used. installation went well after i found gopher's video. had to install "Update to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as a default secure protocols in WinHTTP in Windows" because I choose to run win7. very little has gone wrong. I had a start up crash because i was trying to use a mod dependent on DLCs in fo4 which i don't have. i think there might even be dependency checker that would usually catch that sort of thing, but it was a mod to a mod to a mod (scrap everything disabler). liking the profiles with separate saves, but wish I could have primed them with a start up save so I don't have to replay the beginning (and now see there is a mod for that). after my manual modding experience in WOT, i almost gave up modding forever. it is lucky for me I started back the week that vortex went into public alpha, I would certainly recommend vortex as a great way to start modding for the novice.
