Walter10h
I'm asking because A hat in time is coming out with mod support regardless of steam or Gog, and honestly many of us gog users are fed up with Steam and their walled garden workshop. I'd like to know what the process is for a game to be approved here. :)
Thandal
Just upload a mod (to which you hold the rights) for the game in question. There is a spot in the upload process to indicate that it's for a game new to the Nexus. It takes a little while (up to a week) for the staff to review and approve the addition, but it's mostly automatic.
DrakeTheDragon
If a mod author uploads a mod to the Nexus not from one of the already existing games' sites but the main site (https://www.nexusmods.com/mods/add), they can either select the game they upload a mod for from the list of already existing ones, or enter a new game themselves. The upload wizard also provides all the details you're asking for: We manually approve each new game that users suggest to ensure the game name and other information is correct and to cut down on people making duplicate games. We aim to act on game suggestions within 24 hours of the suggestion taking place. Until we've approved the game your file page will not be visible to others. Please make sure you add a working file for the game and publish it as soon as possible. We will not launch a new Nexus site for a game until there is a working, published file for it. So, get an author to/or do yourself upload a mod for the game to the site and do as instructed by the wizard, then it usually won't take long for the game to become approved. edit: Oops, ninja'd by Thandal, while I was still typing. :ninja:
