Gawdzila
While making a mod, I managed to unknowingly reset several characters faces to generic defaults. In an effort to avoid re-doing a lot of work I've been trying to find a way to put those faces back to their vanilla state instead of deleting my mod and starting over :P However, I haven't found any way to copy face data from one Actor to another within the CK, or export it from either the CK or the game itself so that I can use the "Import" button from within the Actor / Character Gen Parts tab. Is there a command like "spf" that will work for NPCs? Or does anyone know of any other clever trick I can try? Any help would be very much appreciated! Perraine
Maybe this might help ? Not sure exactly what your after though, removing (though not necessarily deleting, just moving/renaming) your modded files will generally revert any modification back to vanilla. Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, I did see that page before when I was researching ways to fix my problem, and while it is very close to what I need... no cigar. As near as I can tell, that allows you to create a morph and apply it to an NPC; what I'd really like to do is simply reverse some changes that my mod is making without having to completely remove the mod altogether. I'd rather not go about trying to re-create a dozen vanilla NPC faces. My situation is that my mod, among other things, changes the races of several vanilla NPCs. Unfortunately, I realized too late that doing this reset the all those character's face gen data. I discovered this after I had already saved the mod and started playtesting it. The bright side is that my mod seems to work as intended -- the downside is that it has the unintended effect of resetting the faces of several NPCs. So I'd like to find a way to either reset the face to vanilla, copy or export the facegen data from the vanilla esm and paste it into the actor record in my mod, find some way to export .npc files from the game so that I can use the "Import" function, or any other way to fix the unintentional changes my mod is making to faces. Otherwise, I imagine my only recourse is to re-make my mod whilst being a bit more careful, lol.
Perraine
Hmmm, well I'm definetly not an expert on the CK (truth is, I've never used it) But I think pretty much any of the workarounds are going to involve pretty much the same amount of work ... However maybe a more experienced CK'er might stop by, now we have a clearer picture of what you need, and offer some sage advice
