EPDGaffney
Great. Tell me how it goes.
LonesomeCoyote
Well, it's working somewhat as intended. For some reason I'm not seeing impact decals. I think it's because of its placement. I changed its impact set to the same one that other guns use (BBs use their own unique one.) I set Min Spread and Spread to 0. Perhaps that bugged it. LonesomeCoyote
Alright, it's not firing anything. It plays the animation and has the muzzle flash but if I stand in front of it I don't get hurt.
LonesomeCoyote
Changing the spread didn't fix it. I added the projectile properly to the new weapon. Aside from that and spread, I made no changes to it so basically its a default BB Gun with 0 spread and firing a new projectile with impact data from a regular ballistic weapon. Same with the projectile, its a copy of the BB projectile with hitscan removed and a speed of 6400.8. I tried to increase the fade duration of the projectile to 5 but that wouldn't matter at point blank. Still firing nothing. LonesomeCoyote
I used a weapon in my inventory that I basically made the same changes to and it works fine, impact decals and everything.
EPDGaffney
That's odd. What weapon did you use instead? Does this work for what you wanted? I was thinking maybe the BBs are just that different that they need special treatment in some way. No time to look into it now, though. LonesomeCoyote
I copied WeapBBGun, BBProjectile and AmmoBB. Just renamed them with Test at the end and made the changes I stated above. I'll try it with a different projectile.Edit: No difference with a different projectile. I tested it against the vanilla 9mm you get at the start of the game. I put 9mmBulletProjectile to both weapons and stood next to our firing contraption. Shot the 9mm and could see impacts in the near distance, then shot the BB Gun trap and nothing. Same distance, not the same height as the BB gun is lower to the ground so if anything I could be able to see it easier when it fires since it would travel less distance. EPDGaffney
Try it with the regular BB gun, as I'm after doing that and it works perfectly. I shot myself with the gun until I developed carpel tunnel syndrome and eventually died.
LonesomeCoyote
I'll switch it over.
