Navmesh for stairs and chairs

Hey gang,

 

I’m a new modder with a question on the Navmesh for stairs and chairs. I want the NPS to be able to sit in a chair via a marker, but do I have to place the Navmesh underneath the entire chair or just the chair marker?

 

 

 

Also, how do I Navmesh stairs? Does the red-tinted plane need to be placed over the steps or “through” the steps?

 

 

 

One last bonus question. If my Navmesh plane is under the rugs, will the NPC be able to walk over them?

To 1) I would recommend, only to navmesh under the marker, otherwise a NPC will try to move 'through' the chair.

 

 

To 2) Here's a good Tutorial , which also explains how to navmesh stairs.
