darkdill
EDIT: I am attempting to make Leona's Sword and Shield in the Creation Kit, but I am terrible with making meshes and textures. If anyone wants to help out, I'd appreciate it. I will say this right now: I am a BIG League of Legends fan, and I play it with a passion. But since I'm currently fooling around with various Skyrim mods, I was thinking that there need to be some mods that add in a bunch of stuff from League of Legends. Currently, the mods that exist don't let me do that properly. Building a character who plays like one of the League's Champions would be such sweet role-playing fun. If anyone else here is a LoL player, you'll know what I mean by it. In particular, getting to make a character who looks and plays like Leona, the Radiant Dawn, would simply be divine. Since Dawnguard's release, I've been hoping that someone will make a mod that gives us her shield, with the same enchantment as Auriel's Shield. There's a lot of "sun" stuff for Skyrim now, so introducing some mods that give us Leona's gear would be oh-so-great. Here's an image of her for the unfamiliar:http://images.wikia.com/leagueoflegends/images/3/3e/Leona_OriginalSkin.jpg Or as another Champion I'd definitely want to RP, there's Ashe, the Frost Archer:http://riot-web-static.s3.amazonaws.com/images/news/May_2012/2012_05_23_ashe/Ashe_Splash_0.jpg Heck, the list goes on. But these should give the modders a starting point, at least, for this task. If you need information on League of Legends stuff, you can check out the LoL wiki: leagueoflegends.wikia.com So what do you guys say? Think you're up for the challenge? EDIT: Probably should mention this; there's a voice mod made by yamadaaki1 that changes your character's voice to sound like Akali (obviously for female characters only). It's found here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17736 Edited September 26, 2012 by darkdill

dweramond
if you want i'll try doing it, no promises though im kinda new to modding, but i'll try making the custom armors, maybe even a custom bow for the archer with a constant frost enchant. If any more skilled modder want to take the challenge go ahead, mine will most likely be crappy anyway lol
Exquise
No task is too great. Doing mods like this aren't a good place to start, but if you don't try and practice, you won't learn. I'm not very good at creating meshes, and I'm extremely bad at texturing, and neither do I upload any mods I do make for public use. The best way to start is by getting a program like 3ds max. You can get this for free if you're a student. Then get Nifskope and the NifTools max plugin for 3ds. (This allows you to export/import 3d meshes as a .nif) Next, get on youtube, or spend a hell of a load of time, to get used to 3ds max, or whatever program you decide to use. This is a timely process, and is not easy, but once you get used to it you will benefit in the long run. Personally, I'd say start with Blender, and put in background imaged and try to mesh around them using flat Circle shapes with 20 vertices to make the mesh look as close as possible to what you're meshing over. Again, this process is something that will take a while to become skilled at. You won't wake up one day and be skilled in 3d modeling, and unless you teach yourself, I don't think there's any other way to learn, other than youtube. The way you have to think about it, which is how I thought about it when I started trying to model 3 years ago at 19, is how is it going to benefit you learning this skill ? If it's just a hobby, then enjoy it, take your time and learn it.. Once you know how to model.. simple things like... a sword, advance to a hammer which can be more 3d based, then helmets, greaves, boots, gloves, armor, skeletons, animation. Nothing stopping you, you just have to take the time to learn it. :) <
darkdill
The thing is, I wasn't planning to become a modder myself. I just wanted to put the request up so I could bring Leona to Skyrim with the right mods. :D Edited April 18, 2012 by darkdill
dweramond
bah i'll try it anyway, i gotta make a V for vendetta armor for myself since noone wants to take it on the topic i started for it, so if i gotta learn how to do it i might as well have something else to use it on afterward. darkdill
To add more to the list of things from LoL, some gear that makes your character look like Fiora would be pretty awesome. http://riot-web-static.s3.amazonaws.com/images/news/February_2012/2012_02_24_fiora_reveal/fiora-base-painting.jpg Edited April 20, 2012 by darkdill
darkdill
:( Still nothing on the site yet? (Or at least I haven't seen anything.) Well, to keep this circulating, and for this not to be a useless bump post, I'll post some more artworks of League Champions so the modders have some artwork to refer to. Tryndamere, the Barbarian Kinghttp://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/9/97398/1829336-tryndamere_new.jpg(yeah, this doesn't look much different from what we can already get, but that sword is pretty badass, right?)
