angeal2
Hey guys, Well I'm not exactly if this is the right place for this topic. I've been a member on the nexus for four years now and a premium for two, so I'm not exactly new. I've never posted anything before so I guess I should at least introduce myself. Hi! I'm Angeal...yeah the random final fantasy 7 character no one ever heard about lol. Anyway, like I said I've been around for 4 years now and I guess you could say I've only half modded. By which I mean that I've never made a mod but I've been playing with them. That's why I'm here. Since the release of Skyrim's Creation Kit I began to delve into it's secrets and I've come pretty far for the short time I've been at it. I have a pretty ambitious mod idea I'm trying to make and am coming across a few problems, so I was wondering if there would be anyone willing to help me out. The Idea I had for my mod, is basically a castle (yes I know like we need another one ^^) but to be honest next to remodeled armor mods castles and manors are my favorite. My castle however will have a nice little quest that provides some personal fan-made history to Skyrim Itself. The main hall of the castle is modeled after Dragonsreach and on a few rough drafts of my mod i copied and pasted the Dragonsreach main hall it into a duplicate cell and reworked it a little. When doing that the main problem I encountered was that now when I have my mod checked in the data files and go into the actual Dragonsreach upon exiting the castle my game crashes. I know it was my mod because when I unchecked it and tried the game worked fine i was able to exit no problem. Today, I tried to start from scratch in a duplicate cell and make the whole thing myself. Again modelling after Dragonsreach (can you tell I like it) and it came out pretty good. I managed to work all the way up to the throne (with no clutter, furniture or walls, just a simple basic floor layout). Dragonsreach was running fine when I first started off, but now that I'm a little farther into making the main hall, It crashes again. This problem is beyond me and Google/Bing has no answer for me thus far. I'm in desperate need of help because I really want to get started on making some really cool mods for you guys. Another thing that I'm having trouble with is that when I make my files my creation kit adds in certain NPC's that I never even touch. For example, it puts in a non-leveled thief near Riverwood that's always level 19, his id in the creation kit is e3demothief, and along with him i get two bandits on the mountain that leads to Bleak Falls Barrow, at that point with the old watch tower, I'm not exactly sure about these two's levels but they seem to be stronger then the thief and one's always wearing Orcish, while the other is wearing Ancient Nordic. I guess what I need to know is if this is a regular bug people are having or if anyone has ever heard of this, but mostly how to get it to stop if it's possible. The last question I have I of another authors mod. I mean no disrespect by this or in anyway wish to discredit the author but I have a problem with the Confidence-Man's ENB. My problem was that I didn't really like it when it loaded, it was very shiny yet blurry if that makes sense? Now I know that a lot of you and possibly even Confidence-Man will tell me I needed to read the description/comments to fix this, but personally I'd rather just have it gone, I'm sorry Confidence-Man, AGAIN I mean NO disrespect!!!! I love the mod you made I think it's fantastic and I know a lot of hard work went into it. But it's just not for me. Now down to the matter at hand, the problem I'm having is that when I delete all the files to uninstall the mod it glitches all the shadows and makes them EXTREMELY buggy, it's almost like their surrounding my character in an unrealistic way? Sorry I'm not that great at describing it, and it happens every time I move my camera angle so I know it's not the sun glare. But it's unbearable. I have found a fix for it. And that is to install the d3d9.dll, but this makes it so that there are grey splotches in the sky, and a very annoying grain through the grass, kinda like the grass is a big window that you can see through. Sometimes the grain moves as if its a thick mist behind the window sometimes its only when I move my camera. Uninstalling does not help, I've taken out all my mods and uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim and yet the shadow stay the same. I think this may be due to the fact that Skyrim was backed up to steam cloud on my account with the mod in place. and it keeps installing the backup every time I try installing the game again I'm not sure exactly but I'm fed up with it and want it gone! If anyone can tell me how to get the mod out completely without having to add in the .dll and still have the shadows work fine it will be much appreciated!!!!!!! I apologize for the enormous post but I wouldn't bug you with such petty problems if I hadn't already tried everything. Much thanks to anyone who could help!!!! and I promise you credit for your help when the castle is published.
