First give up is a fact.

Random placement is just not working.

So now working on random fixed locations.

Talk with your advisor to select a building you wanna build. And in what part of town you wanna build it.

North, west, south, east and center of town.

North, west, south and east outskirt of town.

Also an option I have made is to rename those parts. Think of things like:

Market district

Military district

Arcane district

Then you can in example build an Hunter's Lodge in the eastern outskirt of town or build a Blacksmith in the military district. (with the options of your advisor :))

Also I've made a small update (which was rather easier then I thought). Naming buildings.

Blacksmith just felt to generic.

Now if the smith's name is Duncan, the blacksmith will automatically be named, Duncans Blacksmith. Names are rather very simple:

Duncan the smith

Duncans wife/husband.

Now before I can put a working beta up I am gonna need to set fixed building locations. Size them like, that every building could be put on that spot. Make it so certain buildings can't be build in town, only on the outskirts. Like farms, sawmills, hunting lodges. Restrict certain buildings. Like hunting lodges only 1 per outskirt (4 max) so I can give em fixed locations. Hunting lodges just need less space then a nice farm. Atm I have room for about 7 or 8 buildings per district. Yes I know it feels a bit small. But take in mind 5 districts = 35 to 40 buildings. + another amount of buildings on the outskirts. That amount could still give the unique feel to it. (as you are restricted you can't build everything you might want). I am also gonna see if I can stretch that a bit so you can build more. (I still got some environment I can destroy :))
