Jordanboii
Some random textures in my game are really low res, I have no idea why? Anybody? https://imgur.com/a/TVr1l Only using high res texture mods replacers
jkruse05
Some of them look like distance LOD textures that haven't' switched to the closeup version. The white building definitely is that, and the truck might be, along with the pile of rubble. Are you using any of the 'improved performance' texture mods? MissingMeshTV
Are you using Enboost by any chance? I've seen this happen from having the VRAM allocation in the ENB .ini set too high. If yes, make sure the VRAM entry of your ENB .ini doesn't surpass 10,000. In practice the best results come from keeping it only as high as the actual VRAM amount if your graphics card. If you're not using Enboost, disregard.

Yeah bud I am, I watched a video on that right amount of MB to use, I have 8GB's of Vram and 16GB's DDR3 RAM, so I set the number to 18000, the video said you should add both your GPU and PC RAM, then take away 6. Try installing your other texture replacers without that and see what happens. Some time ago I was using a similar mod (can't recall which one, might have been the same) and there were just a few certain textures that looked really muddled. AGreatWeight
It's an issue with the part of the game engine that does texture streaming, where mipmaps aren't correctly replaced by the full-size texture. RedRocketTV is correct to mention Vram (and that altering the Enblocal.ini videomemory line (based on your vram/system ram specs) is a good idea) as this obviously can have an effect on the likelihood of this happening, although using a lot of retextures (especially 4k ones) has also been known to cause it for some users. I don't believe that these are the causes, merely that they can increase the possibility of this issue occuring. There are some who believe that whether the texture overhauls are packed loosely or in .ba2's can cause this, I'm not so sure about that.It basically comes down to a problem with the game engine itself - this problem only started occuring after one of the updates to the game (around 5/6 months after the initial release of the game)

Other info indicates that ideally you should cap it at the physical VRAM for your card which is what I now do. I have mine set at 8192MB for my 8GB card. You might try that and/or 10,000 to see if it helps at all. EDIT: doubly agree with AGreatWeight on texture streaming. Seems we were typing at the same time! AGreatWeight
So it's just an engine problem with no real fix right now?The implimentation of texture streaming around the 1.5/1.6 update for Fallout4 seems to be the primary cause (from the scant info I've been able to find, texture streaming was implimented primarily to reduce the demands that the engine placed on hardware, but whether it's just BGS's implimentation of it or if it's due to them not factoring in modding, it actually made things worse - particularly for those using large texture overhaul mods)Those kind of mods seem to 'provoke' or aggravate this issue the most, but the root cause comes down to the texture streaming, and that's not something that can be fixed via mods unfortunately.
