Jakisthe
So, I've been trying to build a worldspace in CK. As...well, as my subtitle there said. The "problem" is (and I don't know if you can call it that, since it's more of a general issue) that it just seems ridiculously slow. Like, irrationally, to the point where I don't see how people can have built anything in the months that we've had the CK. Every single piece seems to take forever to find, then even longer to position since I have to adjust the location by manually editing it microunit by microunit. Frequently, my computer just takes forever to load the pieces (and I have a rather powerful machine with a lot of RAM) Honestly, I don't even know what kind of form help for this issue would come in. Am I missing, like, a key shortcut, hotkey, or "snap" option? Or a means of only displaying architectural objects in the selection side-pane without having to classify the style(dwemer, solitude, etc)? A means of seeing what a piece is without having to spend 10 seconds loading it up? I looked at the CK, and "beginner worldspace construction" (or whatever the one is called), and I THINK I'm doing what it says...but...does this just come with experience? Werne
I believe "A" key disables ambient and "M" disables map markers. That should make it work faster.
Jadak
You can configure snap settings in the render window properties (right-click in the render window and pick from the pop-up menu)On the main menu, under the 'View' catagory, you can turn on a preview window that will show items as you select them in the item list, without having to actually put them in the world. You might also want to take a look at the render window hotkey list, also on the 'View' menu.As for finding the ones you want, it just takes a little while to get used to the categories tree and where things can be found, spend a couple hours making random dungeons and houses and whatnot just to see what all the pieces are and you'll be pro at it quick. You should be able to to just click and drag stuff around the render window to put it in position. As for the slowness, if you have a decent system and it's running slow and jerky, I'd recommend making sure you have the latest video drivers, and possible removing any of the ENB series mods, as the CK will render using them. That's what I can think of off the top of my head anyways.
