Diabolus83
HI all, I'm currently modding SSE & downloaded and Optimised the meshes with NIF optimizer 'Imprefvicticious Paathurnax' (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66163) an oldrim mod but seem to be getting a problem with strange black areas across the face of the dragon  Any ideas what I might be doing wrong ? https://imgur.com/a/nNJeC Thanks everyone
0Theara
Have you tried update tangent space in nifskope yet? it might fixed you problem.
Diabolus83
Have you tried update tangent space in nifskope yet? it might fixed you problem.Hi OTheara thank you for your reply. As it stands even after uninstalling 'Imprefvicticious Paathurnax' mod I still have this problem which is perplexing as I don't have any other texture re-placers for dragons other than for Alduin. So very confused...I have never used nifskope before so just wondering can I "update tangent spaces" just with Paathurmax even with no textures installed ? 0Theara
You can do it even without any textures. After you optimized the mesh (parthumax.nif), open it in nifskope, right click on the problematic mesh, then go to mesh > update tangent space, next press Ctrl + S to save. Done! Diabolus83
Do you know where I would find Paarthumax.nif ? I have searched the net for an answer and also searched my PC aswell as the Data/meshes & Data/textures folders with no success. He still looks the same without any mods installed so I'm wondering if it's a vanilla problem  https://i.imgur.com/ABBNSrA.jpg *EDIT* Ok so it seems that without the mod installed I don't have a 'Paarthurnax.nif" and even when installing it I didn't have one either. So I unpacked the mod, copy and pasted the 'Paarthurnax.nif' into the Meshes folder, optimized it and then opened it up in NifSkope etc etc but frustratingly it didn't help. This really sucks.
