Adikia
As a part of apparently a yearly ritual, I re-downloaded DA:O again. I've decided to stick to mostly cosmetic mods for now. Big problem is that the Dalish armor is invisible, for both male and female. Like, I'm in character creator and they're just floating heads. I have Elf Update (just the elf_update folder, not bodies or proportions) and Neutral Female Armors installed, but no other mods that I think would mess with armor. I tried removing them, but it didn't help. All the others are hair mods, eye and face textures, and Dialogue Tweaks. I've tried repairing the game and it didn't help. I'd rather not have to reinstall the game, so I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what's going on. It doesn't seem to have effected any other race or armor type, not as far as I can tell. It does make starting out as a Dalish elf nearly impossible, unless I want to play with Floating Head Mahariel and Bodiless Tamlen.
theskymoves
For anyone to offer anything more than very general advice on troubleshooting, a list of all installed mods would be helpful. Lacking that list, and since it's safe to assume that the issue does not occur in an unmodded and recently repaired game, you'll need to do some detective work, to determine what mod is causing the 'floating heads'. If it were my game, I'd start with removing the override folder entirely. (I'd just rename it to something like 'override.BAK'.) If the issue is resolved, then I'd determine what mod override mod is at fault by adding mods back in small batches, until the issue reoccurs. If removing the files from override does not restore the armours, then I'd know a DAzip mod is at fault, and I'd follow a similar course of action (removing them all and reinstalling in small batches). Adikia
Thanks for helping, theskymoves!I took out the override folder, and the game ran fine. So, I took folders and files out one by one. Turns out there were .uti files causing the problem... I was really convinced it was a mesh problem for some reason a few days ago when I started the topic, so it was a bit of a red herring during my search. I still can't figure out which mod they're from or what exactly they were for... But, I took them out and every is good again! :)
