shancai02
Hello, so I've checked and haven't seen anything in my searches, though I may have missed it. I apologize if that's the case, but I need help. I had the "Skip Fight" Mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/2672/) and I want to remove it. However, when I try to, it forces the Manager to close due to an error. The tracelog message says this: Invalid character in the given encoding. Line 14, position 44. I can provide the full tracelog error portion as needed, but any help would be appreciated. I have the Skip Fade mod installed but any other mods I have installed are purely aesthetic (Dragon Age Redesgined, Platinum Blonde, etc.). theskymoves
Firstly, what, exactly, is "the Manager"? (Nexus Mod Manager? DAO-ModManager? It's difficult to trouble-shoot anything when there is a lack of specificity.) Secondly, while I believe it is best to manage, install, and uninstall DAzip packaged mods with a utility, such mods can also be manually removed, and in the event that I encountered a situation similar to your current issue, that is what I would do. To manually uninstall a DAzip mod, the applicable files must be removed from two locations; in my example, I'll use the filenames from the Skip Fight mod. 1. Delete the Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\AddIns\mos_antiandraste folder.2. Delete the mos_antiandraste_package.erf archive located in Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\data3. When next loading the game, it will probably give an error message referencing the now-missing mod, as 'Skip Fight' is still enumerated in the addins.xml file. Force load through the error, and once the game has successfully opened, hard save, and then reload again, from that new save. shancai02
I apologize for no including that detail. I was referring to the Nexus Mod Manager.
Sixuu
Most of the time, Nexus Mod Manager doesn't work with Dragon Age mods. You shouldn't use it. Edited March 26, 2018 by Sixuu
