Hmmm... Do you have any other computer at your disposal on which you could try installing it? If so, you could try and see if it works there; judging by the message, I think it's possible that your DVD went kaput and can't be read properly.

I have to agree with Dr here... It seems your DVD can be dead... But the thing is your DVD writer/reader could be dead too, try the DVD on another Reader, try to get an image of it using Virtual DVD programs... try to dump all the DVD info to HDD and try to install from there...

Look at the shiny side of the DVD for scratches. If it has a bad scratch it may be unrecoverable. But if any scratches are smaller then you may be able to clean them off. Check this site for instructions on how to do this. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/77

 

The CRC error (cyclic redundancy check) is a way of self verifying the data. there is a number recorded on the DVD and when it reads the data off of it, the number is recalculated on the data that is now on your computer. if they do not match, then there is a data error (CRC)
