Silent Spells - Is It Possible?

I have tried modifying the projectile & even the sound in the magic effect, but it never works.

I use sneak tools & am tired of NPCs two rooms away, or on another level, hearing me trying to put out a candle with a frost spell.

I found this, but do not understand how to use the info for my needs.

Appreciate any guidance.

Thank you for your time.

I do have the Quiet Casting Perk & it is not enough.

There's a perk for silent spell casting on the Illusion perk tree. Just give your character that perk and NPCs won't hear you casting spells.

Yeah, I knew I should have included that I have that perk.

All that seems to do is silence the casting, not the impact.

Thank you though. :)

I don't think you can make the actual effects silent. At least I've never seen anything like that. The only thing I can think of would be to make sure all of the projectiles and effect have zero physics force associated with them. I'm pretty sure what the NPCs are hearing are the results of impacts and things physically moving.

It seems to me that I have tried that. I have tried just about everything I can think of when it comes to the projectile.

They discuss, in the link provided, adding the spell to a formlist. It sounds like the fl is attached to another spell that has the ability to make those spells silent, but that is for Requiem. So it does seem possible. They mention doing it with perks, but I just don't get it. If I could, I would blow out lighs, but that is not possible with Sneak Tools.

Maybe I'll go take another look at force, etc. & see if I can find something that I missed.

Thanks.
