hybridfan
So I have installed Shivering Isles and made sure data box is checked, but no message about a new quest loads up. In the instruction manual it says to wait a day, I have done this but still nothing. The Knights of The Nine quest works fine nice crusading armour and is quite a good quest but I really want a go at Shivering Isles, what do you have to do to access it? do you have to complete the main quest first... are there any special requirements you have to do? I have 1.2.0416 update or whatever it is.
macmert
Nope you dont have to do anything, after some time the quest will be automaticly upload to your Quest log... The strange door or someting, the name of the quest, you have to wait a while...
hybridfan
Ahh fixed weird I was playing as a Lineage Elf and nothing seemed to happen, when I started a new game as Imperial, I did get the message about the quest, so far I'm enjoying it very different scenery than Cyrodil ;)

bben46
Vista advice - fixes a lot of vista/oblivion problems Quoted from the Oblivion Mods FAQ WIKI Using VISTA only: If you have downloaded and installed, and the mod is appearing in your Data Files List, but not in your game. Then you should reinstall Oblivion into a different directory instead of the default. Installing mods on a Windows Vista system is bit trickier than it is on Windows XP due to Vista's increased security. For best results, it is recommended to install Oblivion to a location other than the default C:\Program Files\ folder. Another location such as C:\Oblivion\ or D:\games\Oblivion\ will work better. This will avoid the file permission problems many users have experienced due to the increased security restrictions Vista places on the Program Files folder. HouseAtlantic
How do I turn UAC off and i got avast home edition so im good there. perfect, i'm starting to only give this advice to people who use avastvisit your Control Panel Home, not classic view, and you will see "User Accounts and Family Safety"Next, "User Accounts" and at the bottom of the links there you will see "Turn User Account Controls on or off"without the user controls, be wary of preforming a "Clean Boot"make sure that you enable the anitvirus when doing it, which sometimes defeats the purpose, or don't download things off the internet while running a Clean Boot
