angelmeats
That's actually a very cool way to introduce custom races as NPCs. You should release that when you're done. For what it's worth, i fixed my lip sync issues again. I went back to an earlier version of ECE and loaded that before my ludicrously-customized-unique-bodies (it's a mostly-working armor-by-race thing i've been working on, using Unique Bodies as the foundation). In my mod, i went through every skin texture and every Race entry and made sure that the "FaceGen" boxes were checked.Beyond that, i can't think of anything i've done that would have otherwise affected head parts. Right now, i have no greyfaces and no lip issues and noone is missing any body parts or anything, so i'm pretty happy. I have found that trying to mess with custom races can cause issues. I'm running Ygnord and Yaksha, on different saves. I tried adding Yaksha to my armor mod but ended up reverting and removing that race. Every time i thought i'd fixed one issue, another would appear. Gawdzila
Thanks :) I would like to release it once I get everything working and clean things up. Unfortunately it looks like I spoke too soon last time.I tested my method first on Lydia and she is working A-Okay. Face is perfect and Vanilla, with her custom body from her custom race working great, all without having to use any facegen export workarounds or console commands. However, every other NPC I've altered still appears to have the dark face bug. Not even exporting their facegen data helped. I'm desperately searching for the one thing I did differently with Lydia than anyone else, but to no avail so far. Clearly it is POSSIBLE to circumvent this problem, I just can't nail down exactly how to do it. The options and file paths in Lydia's Actor & Race records appear identical to everyone else's, yet she is working perfectly and everyone else isn't. It is driving me kind of insane, lol. SignoVir
So, on one hand, my custom races are behaving exactly the same as every other race that is working. That's good.On the other hand, it appears that I cannot change an NPCs race at all without their face ceasing to work. That's bad.Haven't other people changed NPC races before? I don't see why this shouldn't be working :-/ Hi, chiming in a little late here, but I ran across the same problem and may have arrived at a solution for some cases. Using setrace nordrace or setrace oraezerace the facial animations stop working. However, if instead you drop the "race" part, it works fine. setrace oraeze or setrace breton both work as expected. The weird thing is that setrace bretonrace works at all, and that the only thing that seems to break is the facial animations. Edit: Well, it seems the benefits are short lived. save and load and the animations are lost again. setrace nord, then setrace back to your custom race works, butwould be a pain to do every time Edited May 9, 2012 by Signo Vir
