amoralimmortal Posted April 18, 2012 Share Posted April 18, 2012 A few months back I had the idea of changing the way Inn's function to give them an apartment like quality but lack any sort of modding skill to bring my ideas to life. My ideas so far: -Add the ability to purchase or rent an Inn room for an extended period of time [1week/1month/1year/forever] with an increased price [35g/week, 140g/month, 1680/year, 3000 permanantly, based on vanilla per day price]-Make the items/containers/beds in the room only become your property-Make the Inn spouse-friendly if it has a double bed so he/she can run their shop somewhere more public-Upon your rented time running out the innkeeper dispatches a courier who will inform you that rent is due and - paying will renew your current lease [possibly allow to upgrade/reduce time] and he will pay for you.-Entering the Inn on the day rent is due will have you confronted by the Innkeeper regarding paying your rent-Failure to pay simply reverts the room to default and all stored items are moved to a storage chest behind the bar for you to pick up later-Option to purchase small, cheap upgrades for the room depending on it's size, like added lockboxes and wall shield/sword racks for storage in small rooms and weapon racks/bookshelves for larger rooms. As I have zero experience modding I have no idea if this is even possible or how much of a pain in the ass it would be, I just found it kind of suck that several NPC's can rent rooms for long durations and store their items there but you can't.
