Weapon Display

Dear members

 

 

I've been playing Skyrim (Legendary Edition) for a couple of weeks now, really liking it so far.

 

But I noticed that each house I occupy/build has the same problems concerning weapon display.

 

I would love a room full of carefully displayed weapons and apparel. But everytime I try to set it up the game glitches and everything falls on the ground/ disappears or moves around.

(eg. Volendrung on the weapon rack=each visit it's a little bit lower, Bloodskal Blade moves around on the table)

 

So I've been looking for a mod to target that specific problem. I stumbled across a patch which I hope could make a difference.

The only question I have is; won't this change my game too much? I mean, I would love an improvement but are there any major differences between this patch and the vanilla version?

I hope I'm speaking for most of the modders and Skyrim players when I say this - it sure as hell applies to me:

 

USLEP is one of the best mods ever created!!!

 

USLEP (Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch) fixes a LOT of problems in Skyrim - problems you sometimes won't even notice.

It fixes meshes, bugs, scripts, quest, items, and whatnot!

If you read the changelog of the mod you will understand how many problems it fixes.

 

So the (my) answer is:

Do it! Download it! Right now!

 

This mod will enhance your overall experience of Skyrim (yes - it does...), and it will change your game - to the better!

So yes - download it right this instant!!!

 

P.S: a lot of mods require USLEP as a must, so that's another plus.

P.S.S: also download SkyUI and SKSE!

Ok, I downloaded the patch.

 

So do the changes take place directly or do I have to start a new game?

 

Will this patch also fix the issues with placement of items, books on shelf flying around and what not?

 

Was also wondering about my load order, how do I set it up just right so as not to damage my game?

Do I untick Skyim + 3 DLC patches? Or maybe even delete them?

Skyrim and the DLCs are the game itself, so don't untick them :laugh:

 

After you download the mod, install it with NMM.

After that, download LOOT (how to install and run are in its description).

Basically, after you download mods, run LOOT - it will properly sort your mods for you (don't forget to apply the changes it makes!)

 

After a bunch installing a bunch of mods, it is always recommended to start a new save.

But if you only downloaded USLEP and SkyUI - I think you're good even if you don't restart it.

Ok, I downloaded the patch, installed NMM and LOOT and let them run.

But it doesn't seem to be working properly, at least not for the issues I wanted the patch for

 

-Books now seem to float a couple of centimeter on their shelf

-Weapon Racks and Display Case still don't store weapons in a proper manner, Volendrung still moves down every visit

-Items placed in an owned house still fly around

-Dragon stopped giving off Souls...

-Still can't see my own feet as well, I had hoped that would be fixed.

Some of the stuff you seem to experience sound like bugs that were patched a long time ago...

Make sure that in the plugin section in the NMM the USLEP esp file is ticked and after all the DLCs on the list (Skyrim, Update, Dawnguard, Hearthfires, Dragonborn, USLEP - this order, doesn't have to be one after the other right away).

Weapon racks and display cases have always been buggy along with mannequins - I'm not sure if they have been fixed by anyone yet (maybe partially).

And the parts about the dragon souls not working - that's just something wrong with the game...

Make sure you have the newest version of Skyrim, Update and DLCs installed and that they are properly loaded in the right order.

 

About you not seeing your legs: if it's first-person view you are referring to - that's how it is, you don't see your lower half of the body. However, there are few mods that let you do that, search the Nexus.

If you can't see your legs in 3rd person view - again, problem with the game itself. Make sure you have the newest versions and all the proper esp files are loaded in the right order.

The problem is that I not only have Skyrim, Update, Dawnguard, Hearthfires, Dragonborn, USLEP... but also each individual DLC patch (Skyrim patch, dawnguard patch, hearthfire patch etc.)

Along with this I have 3 Highrestexture packs and an unofficial High Res patch.

So I cannot untick these patches without causing for example the book floating issue.

And if I tick them on it gives a warning message about older patches still being turned on...

 

Also, the weapon racks and display cases are not fixed with USLEP? That's a shame cause it's the main reason I wanted this mod.

What I can tell from your plugin list, your LOOT didn't get applied...

 

I'll tell you how to do it manually for now.

Ok, I put it in the correct order (forgot to click apply in loot).

So far it seems to be working, books aren't floating so that's positive.

 

Unfortunately I had to start a new game since my old savegame had been corrupted I think.

 

I will report back here if everything goes smooth or if something isn't working properly.
