darthonionknight
I'm sick of this insects ruining my exploring in the fallout games. Every time i see one they scare the crap out off me. All of i ask is that someone will make a mod that removes the bloatflys out of F:NV and F3. including the legendary one... Schylerwalker
In the Mo-Mod, most if not all of the Bloatfly spawns are replaced with giant mosquitoes, dragonflies, and yellow jackets. I don't know if any of those bugs scare you though. I'm not sure about the Legendary Bloatfly though. The Legendary Bloatfly, by the way, is scary even for anyone who isn't freaked out by flies. That thing can two-shot a level 30+ character.
Hyoukage
Bloatfly-B-Gone? Hm... Ah, got just the thing. Grab the Gun Runner's Arsenal DLC pack, head over to the Gun Runner's shop, and buy Esther (a GRA unique Fat Man) and stock on Big Kid and Tiny Tot Mini Nukes. In Hardcore, this means you'd likely find yourself bogged down with micro-sized WMDs, but those things annihilate ANYTHING you aim 'em at... and quite a few things you don't aim 'em at. Also, with GRA's Mad Bomber perk, you can turn your standard-issue Mini Nukes into Fat Mines. Think Mini Nuke, with a proximity fuse. Again, though, they weigh quite a bit on Hardcore (3lbs per Fat Mine, in this case). I said buy Esther for a reason. Esther's the only weapon I know of that adds to both DT and Rad Resistance... and given you'll be dropping nukes like they're going out of style... you'll need both. One more thing... the Big Kid Mini Nukes possess a greater blast radius than standard-issue charges, so aim 'em a little further out when ya launch 'em. Also, the Tiny Tot charges are like shotgun shells for Fat Man launchers, so angle up to around where you aim with the BK charges so you don't accidentally (or purposefully) nuke yourself into a gory, irradiated smear on the scenery.
