Taking in consideration with the cages is wasteland survivor; almost all the cages can help "feed" the other Like so Carrot -> Radstag -> Yao Guai -> Deathclaw. There are only a few expections to this rule, and that is with the random stuff like Jet for raiders, Caps for Gunners, Canned dog food for dogs, but the only one that is unique in this manner is Mirelurk, since they require eggs to not only build but repair as well; they additionally have no way Modding or otherwise to farm their eggs that I have looked into. I only have two suggestions but ultimately it is up to you: add MIrelurk eggs (2 or more) to Mirelurk's loot table.Somehow make their nest craftable in some way/farmable.
