TychoAnomaly
I'm trying to find whatever mod it is that makes me crash to desktop whenever I try to edit a settlement. Currently I'm having to reinstall each time - is there an easier or quicker way to do this? Cheers!
AGreatWeight
Easiest way to troubleshoot which mod is the culprit is by a process of elimination. Uninstall the first ten mods in your load order, then load your game and test to see if the crash happens. If it doesn't crash, the mod responsible is among those ten mods. If it still crashes, exit the game and remove the next ten. Rinse and repeat this process until you find the crash doesn't happen. From there, reinstall the last five mods that are among the previous ten that you uninstalled.Saves time doing it this way, and makes it easier to hone in on the one responsible.p.s. It's quite possible that it's related to a settlement mod (of one kind or another) that you're using.
TychoAnomaly
Thanks AGreatWeight, that's the best process for sure. The problem is even after uninstalling them I'm still hitting the same error, and it needs a fresh reinstall to get everything working again! Is there any faster way, such as replacing .ini files, rather than reinstalling my entire game over again?Cheers!
