Deleted4355746User
Hi there I wanted to download the mod 'cloaks of skyrim'. After downloading I copied the files (including the folders 'meshes' and 'textures') into the skyrim data folder.I activated only one of the .esp files and run the game. No cloaks to find. Nor in the crafting list of leather items nor at any shop. The installation guide said something like 'Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary.". I have no idea what necessary means in this context.I use the mod manager to activate the .esp and I have also other mods running, including the skse script extension. Does this maybe prevent the mod from working? Thanks for any advice.
guffeh
With Cloaks of Skyrim, they should appear under "Leather" in at the Tanning Rack if memory serves right. Pretty sure SKSE wouldn't interfere with it. The mod should have 3 parts to it. The .ESP, The Textures folder, and the Meshes folder. Ensure all 3 from the mod are in your Skyrim/Data folder if you haven't already. Lastly you could try to change up the load order to see if that helps. Hopefully some of this helped, and if not sorry, best of luck to you.
Deleted4355746User
thx guffeh but the mod is still not working. What is the correct folder structre in the skyrim data folder? I copied the .esp file directly int the data folder. .../data/Cloaks.espthe two folders have the structure : .../data/meshes/clothes/cloaksofskyrim/... .../data/textures/clothes/cloaksofsykrim/... Is that correct??
guffeh
Yes, that is the correct file structure. I'm sorry that the mod isn't working for you. As a last resort, you can (while the mod is activated) goto console in game, and type: help "cloak, black"orhelp "cloak, crimson"orhelp "cloak, brown" Other colors: Green, Grey, White... Etc., to see the ID of the item, if they are indeed working in your game. If you aren't getting any IDs, then the ESP file isn't being loaded properly. If you are getting IDs then you can use the Add Item console command: player.additem ID_of_Cloak <quantity>Example: player.additem 1B000D67 1 Hope this helps.
