Zormindin
Skyrim Version 1.5.23.08 (SKSE64 2.0.6 rel 55) I have had this issue from a clean install of SSE. I'm using a widescreen monitor that has the skyrimprefs.ini display settings listed here. I edited the documents folder version and the version in the skyrim program folder. bBorderless=1bFull Screen=1iSize H=1440iSize W=3440 No other ini files have been edited. I installed skse64 according to instructions from the skse download page. i can start a New game. I can save during the game. I can exit to the Main Menu and load any saved game with no issues. When I exit to desktop and restart Skyrim using the skse64 launcher, I get a CTD when I try to load a saved game. I have this problem using only skse64 with no mods loaded and with a few mods loaded such as SKYUI 5.2 , Widescrren Fix for SKYUI 5.2, Alternate Start, immersive armors and ineed. Again, the CTD happens if I have no mods or some mods. This is a new PC with Windows 10. I have an older PC with Win 7 and have had SSE and skse64 running with no problems with many mods loaded. It seems like something is corrupting Save files when I exit to desktop. Any ideas on where to look? Thanks,Dave
Heartfirepony
holy s#*! someone else has this problem besides me. I have no idea whats causing it either, though i am able to work around it by loading one of the broken saves without skse64, making a save with that, then launching with skse64 and loading that save. Kain1985
Well I have this isuue to. Few days ago I started to play in SSE instead of Legendary Skyrim. First of course was modds issue to make them running but it was relativelly easy. Saves work fine and only skeleton from XPMSE didn't work.So I reinstall SSE totally with installing again all mods to make skeleton work. While skeleton work fine game start to cruch every time I wont to load game.I search long for solution and reason of this issue but no concrete answer was to be found. But I found it I think. To make skeleton work with RaceMenu ,MCM etc to Data/SKSE/Plugin folder we must add also one SKSE64 plugin and INI file. And this screw up my saves. When I deleted this 2 files saves work normally but skeleton not. - XPMSE Styles in MCM menu to be specified. I downloaded fresh copy of this 2 files and install them again. For the moment saves work and skeleton to. But I suspect that saves will crash again after some time of play. In saturday I will play longer and see if this reinstalling of SKSE plugins solve issue for good. But it looks like the cause if this CDTs is either XMPSE and SKSE. Link99902
Did you ever find a fix? I have this same issue with my game currently.
Deleted3897072User
If you have installed version 4.31 of the XPMSSE skeleton and you have installed skee64.dll for it, you will get crashes when you try to load saves because there is a bug in skee64. There are many posts about this in the XPMSSE comments. There is a fix included in SSE Engine Fixes. However, this is not related to the widescreen issue reported by the OP. The SSE Engine fixes completely solved my CTD load save issue. I was on the verge of giving up on Skyrim SE all together until i came across your post. 1 million thanks. All the saves that CTD when tried to load are now all working.
