I am new to modding, and have been trying to install cbbe and related mods, but I keep getting CTD no matter what I try. Can someone who uses that body type and mods on top of it let me see their mod list and load order? I am getting very frustrated at this point. I guess I should point out that I am running Special Edition of skyrim.

I used to get stressed from frequent CTD too, and have no clues how to get rid of CTD and Errors.. After some troubles, I downloaded Loot and mod organizer using its automatic order arrangement, finding mod conflicts and double mods downloaded, so CTD rates dropped. Have you ever tried these apps? or I have no ideas.

Yes, I used LOOT and NMM. Actually, it would get to the main menu before CTD, but after LOOT, it would CTD immediately.

MO for the win. It only took me half day to get the basics down. I'll throw you another bone: Install your main mods separate from your patches, especially if the author has already separated them. It makes it SOOOO much easier to track down issues in case you need/watch to reinstall a specific mod or play around with different versions. You'll thank me later.

I use UNP so I'll forgive you for using CBBE. What you'll want to do is have:
MAIN GAME files

Unofficial Skyrim Patch
Unofficial Rez Patch
|----- Performance mods ----|

|------ Bug fixing mods ------|

|----- Framework mods ----| e.g. SKSE, SKYUI, UIEXTENSIONS etc
HDT Physic extensions mod (if required for use)
Realistic Ragdoll and force (if going HDT route)
Caliente's mod
Whatever CBBE compatible texture mod you want to use (Demonic, Pure, Fair skin etc) or an all All-In-One kit that included Caliente's mesh plus optional features.
SOS/Better males or whatever male mod of your choosing.

HDT physics mod (e.g. HDT Bounce and Jiggles)
Optional Argonian and Khajitt textures (Can't go wrong with Feminine Argonion and Khajiit mods because they both have multiple options. However Better Khajiit by OBL is arguably better for the latter).
Skeleton (most likely you'll end up using XP32 or 32SE)
Your hair mods, clothing mods, followers, follower management mods, and everything else should be below the skeleton mod and should function just fine.
