jeremylee
Ok so i have a crappy old pc.. I can run skyrim at a decent pace if I lower the textures with a mod.vista 32 home basic.intel pintium 2.66 ghz x2 proccesor Nvidia le 7300 card overclock: 555 core, 806 memory 2g of ram. I have some lag issues and crashing every couple hours, I figured this was due to ram?But when i check in task manager Skyrim is only using about 600mb of ram out of 2000 that I have.does that sound right? can i make it use more? or is the OS using the rest?Or is it being limited by my graphics card?I have all other process's disabled with game booster. pygothian
32 bit os, most you have available is about 1.5 gb assuming nothing else is running. Run msconfig and only run essential services. 500gb is about right, it will increase as you play and when it crashes is probably when you run low on ram. jeremylee
Ok thanks I have all processes turned of in msconfig and using game booster to disable everything else.I kinda figured it might be ram issue. I know its not overheat from overclocking. because its only running about 65' durring battle. It only crashes when i fast travel or zone from one busy area to another.Unfortunately I cant afford to buy more ram atm.
pygothian
When in a busy area type. ~ to get into console then. PCB. This might free some game resources and reduces crashes
jeremylee
Hmm ok i will try, I cull the trees and grass in hopes that will assist, I'm not looking at that stuff when doing battle with dragons anyhow....I just found out that I may only be able to use 2gb of ram for my motherboard when looking for a price check.
