FMod
if you want to save bucks for some reason you can go for a 550TI and a Rosewill Green series RG630 (not a fan of what you listed above, they all are seasonic :whistling: Seasonic vs Rosewill? It's a no-brainer (in favor of the former). 6850 blows 550Ti out of the water and is well worth the little extra price. For lower price, there's HD6790, which costs as much as 550Ti while still being faster. Even HD6770 is a bit faster than 550Ti (0% stock, +15% o/c), and 6770 costs less.In this cost segment you can't really afford to sacrifice performance for brand preferences. However 6850 is still better and $120+$80 after rebates fits easily into OP's budget. Yes they are The Best but I dont like re-tagging That's not really something to base advice on.I'm not sure who makes Rosewill, but it's also another OEM company in China, probably Delta or Fortron-Source. With much lower quality. Seasonic's main business has always been as OEM, they only sell a small fraction of their supplies under their own brand. They don't have the brand presence, the distribution channels and the customer service capabilities of companies like OCZ, Corsair or EVGA. And Corsair's warranty is better. bben46
Specs show your computer has a 300 Watt power supply - That will need to be upgraded before you can do much upgrading. Otherwise you will be waiting for a power supply fail when it is overloaded - depending on the quality of the PS, a failure can possibly fry other components also - such as The mother board, video card or Hard drives. Dell is notorious for using odd shaped power supplies - especially in their lower priced boxes, so be sure a standard supply will actually fit before buying a replacement. For standard sizes, power supplies are readily available from many sources. Pick a well known name and check it on google for reliability and prices. Here is a reliable source in the US for reasonably priced odd shaped supplies - http://www.atxpowers...ower-supply.htm I recommend at least 550 Watts to give you a little overhead for any future upgrades. Also, a new Video card may run much hotter than your old one - You may need extra cooling to keep from frying your system.
