Skyrim exits at loading screen PLEASE HELP!

Everytime I try and continue a game, load a different save, and even start a new one Skyrim automatically exits out to the Desktop. it did not have this problem a couple days ago and now all of a sudden it will not even get past the loading screen. Please help, this is extremely frustrating. I have tried absolutely everything I've tweaked the sound, disabled the anti-virus, defragmented the cache, and I'm pretty sure at this point I've uninstalled it over 3 times. Again PLEASE help I have no idea whatsoever what to do.

that happens to me when i have a mod that relies on info that is not there. or if they are conflicting. If you dont have any mods than i dont know..

Corrupted save files can cause this too, from what i have read. try deleating your save files in start/documents/my games/skyrim/saves.

Likely you started out with uGridstoLoad at 9, tweaked down to 7, sorry, you can't really recover a save file from that, it will cause a CTD when trying to start a save that has a higher saved UGrids integer than the ini currently states.

Or

  1. Skyrim.esm has become ghosted or deactivated in your load order.
  2. You're attempting to load a master file that isn't Skyrim.esm first in your load order.

Well I've uninstalled Steam, the Nexus Mod Manager, and Skyrim. I'm going to try reinstalling them and see if it works and I don't know if I tweaked the uGrids but I did use that CFF Explorer thing so maybe that's it. Also thanks for all the fast replies.

This happened to me for a time when I installed new mods. I had to:

-Deactivate mod

-Load game

-Exit game

-Activate mod

-Move mod in load order

-Exit

-Move mod back where I wanted it

-Load game

That has universally worked for me. I have a theory that in order for the game to load new mods must be recognized in the file that determines load order. For this to happen, you must manually move the mod around in your load order before loading the game.

The mistake I made was: Enable new mod, and fail to move it manually in my load order.
