ManOfSteelMan
I already have an HTC Vive and a computer exclusively for VR which I haven't used in three months. Now I'm thinking about taking the plunge and getting Skyrim VR. It's $60 US which is steep but I have some cash stashed away for just such an emergency. ;-) From what I've read it's based on Skyrim SE and to me it seems that mods should work. I haven't bought it yet as there is one mod that I truly need installed before I play. It's the Insects Begone mod. I have terrible arachnophobia and seeing it on a flat screen is bad enough. Seeing one of them in 3D will probably give me a heart attack or worse! LOL!!! Anyway, has anyone tried it yet, playing with mods as they stand right now? Edit: Yes, someone has. He has a video and simple instructions to make it happen. I'm posting his link. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy it and start installing my favorite mods. cptmrcalm
Mate - I bought it instantly. Although - as you say, I am a tad nervous about the spiders too!!! lol... I've only seen a small part so far - just to start the game before I mod it. But already i was blown away. Mods I will use will be as much 4k stuff as i can through at it - SMIM and JK cities with a lot of NPC immersion mods. I havent worked out exactly which ones yet. Staying clear of anything that needs SKSE, and will be testing vivid weathers out - so long as the nights and interiors arent too dark. Strangely nobody mentions enb for skyrim vr. So i might look into that too.
QuagaarWarrior
Why not convert the insects begone mod to work in SE yourself?
cptmrcalm
Its ok. I "manned-up" and beat my fear with some lively swings of the axe!!! Fear gone. Modded the crap out of the game. Installed tonnes of immersion mods. Pressed go and winced - keeping one eye open. (bit like firing up a nuclear reactor the first time.) ...unclenched the teeth and opened both eyes to the most amazing version of Skyrim yet!! Ditched Vidid weathers and ENB for this as it looks fantastic at the moment. Didnt want interiors too dark and for there to be constant bad weather.
