Rizelyn
Hey everyone, So far I did a little practice on modding in Creation Kit and decided to go up a notch and import some custom models. The idea I had was to build a 2-story house. I tried importing the entire interior as one object but I'm having some trouble understanding how the occlusion works. I did a tutorial (the tutorial unfortunately didn't offer any information on why you had to do this and that and what effect it would have) It basically told me to copy my model into the properties of an Occlusion Mesh. Does this automatically mean that the walls become solid and that the doorways will be open or does this just put a huge occlusion block around the model? Story short:Can I import the entire interior as one object without having trouble with the occlusion or do I have to import into numerous of pieces (ceilings, walls and floors as separate objects) Another question about the proces of custom modding: Assuming I will have to go back and forth to adjust my model, is there a way to set up a fast connection to do this or do I have to: edit the object > convert in Nifscope > overwrite in Creation Kit for every single change? I hope someone has the answers to these questions for me ^^If not, I'll appreciate any tips or links involving custom modding. Thank you!
Tamb0
You're not being very clear about what it is you're actually trying to do and how you're going about doing it. I tried importing the entire interior as one object but I'm having some trouble understanding how the occlusion works. You tried to import what ?...into what ?What program are you talking about ?...the CK,...Nifscope,...3Dmax,...Maya,.. ?????What interior are you refering to ? There is no model for a full interior. What tutorial and for what program ?Can I import the entire interior as one object without having trouble with the occlusion or do I have to import into numerous of pieces (ceilings, walls and floors as separate objects)Again, what interior into what program ?...overwrite in Creation Kit for every single change?Bad idea. Don't overwrite any of the vanilla models. Make a duplicate and point the duplicate to look for your new mesh. Sorry if it seems I'm beig blunt, but I was reading this and had no idea what you are referring to.
