  1. 1. Would you be for or against the next Elder Scroll game being an MMO?

WE older gamers can complain complain complain ,Does it matter NO!!!!

The modern trend is that everything should be online, Games have gone from being challenging to light entertainment.

Microsoft are already considering if their next xbox console should be 100% online, Well you can probably still buy single player games via xbox live,But most would definitely be mmo.

I dont mind people playing mmos,Casual or flash games,But please stay away from the ES GAMES if youre not a serious RPG fan.

Hi.

As a few people already mentioned in this thread - MMO doesn't quite fit the Elder Scrolls games - but I really wouldn't mind a multiplayer function in the next game, where me and my friends could do quests and adventure together..!

I'm not sure, because if the next Elder Scroll was an MMO, then it'd lose it's touch in a sense of being the same as everyone else. And how do you plan on making an MMO on other consoles like Xbox and stuff? Of course it's possible, but I think if there was just co-op with more than 3 players at a time that'd be good. I don't think it'd be good as an MMO, it'd basically be World of Warcraft in my opinion. World of Warcraft is pretty good, but Skyrim has done pretty good so far without other players interfering. I think the best way to incorporate multi-player on Elder Scrolls would be by co-op, just like Fable and Saints Row. Also, as an MMO, it'd have to be patched a few times to keep things fresh, imagine how big the map would be, it'd have to have some expansions at least.

Also as Thomriis mentioned:

It's an RPG game, MMOs will just destroy that idea of individuality, like in World of Warcraft, everyone started in an area, done the same quests and done the same things, they are all just clones technically? But in TES you are different from everyone else and it's pretty special.

It depends. If it's a co-op (with a max party of 4) I'm game, but if it's a full out mass extravaganza I'll pass.

edit: can't really co-op where only 1 person is the ultimate hero, right? Unless your teamies see their own "omg u the man"-vid in the end, that would work.
