SKSE data rar issue with NMM

Freshly installed Skyrim/Oldrim. Using Gophers SKSE install video. Cannot add the SKSE data rar to NMM. Maybe a small overlook on my part?

would you mind linking the specific tutorial you are following?

because I don't recall anyone suggesting installing SKSE with NMM

though I haven't used NMM in a long while , but if NMM has the virtual folder mechanic as I heard it has , you can't use NMM to install SKSE (or any SKSE plugins , for that matter)

 

but installing SKSE is so easy to do manually

inside the archive you should have a readme with the exact instructions (and it's really that easy)

9:50 is the part I am referencing sorry for the lack of clarification.

Yeah, no problem and to clarify, I only meant the actual Data folder within the SKSE download archive not the skse_1_9_32.dll - skse_whatsnew.txt files. Edited April 3, 2018 by MondoMassholio

yeah , I thought you were referring to this video

personally , I can't think of many reasons why this shouldn't work for you

maybe there is some problem with the archive? maybe if you try building the archive using 7z instead it will work? (I've heard of many people reporting problems with archives created using Winrar or Winzip , but 7z seems to be the best tool for NMM)

 

I honestly still think that you can install SKSE manually (after all , I doubt you'd want to remove it unless you are uninstalling the entire game)

but it's really up to you on how you wish to approach this

if it all fails , try restarting NMM and maybe rebuilding the archive . the simple restart is often the simplest solution

I forgot about that program. I'll give it try and I appreciate the time thanks.

 

Edit: Changing to 7z did the trick, thanks again.
