Garfunkel3
I was disappointed by the Imperial Legion Campaign. It was repetitive, it was monotonous, and it was (apart from a few pixels) indistinguishable from the stormcloaks campaign. So after killing Ulfric (in a extremely uninspiring final battle), I set myself to thinking up ways to expand the Legion campaign and I'd like to hear your opinion. I came up with the spymaster. The spymaster will be the power behind Tullius, acting from the shadows to preserve the Empire. Doing what has to be done if the Stormcloaks will be defeated. He will be a cynical old man who has given his life and good conscience for the Empire. He has done terrible things, his hands are stained with metaphorical blood. And he has decided that you will be his agent. This quest mod would bring elements of espionage to the Imperial Campaign. The Spymaster will use you for assassination, manipulation, mutinies, robbery and stealth operations. The quests can be tied into the main campaign. Some suggested questsThe Silver Must Flow: The empire needs silver. Yet the markath smelters are on strike. The spymaster has sent you to deal with the problem. You'll need to blackmail, persuade and threaten to restore the mines to order. The Thalmor Incident: The Thalmor have discovered a powerful artefact of Talos, perhaps the armor of Tiber Septim, and plan to ship to the Summerset Isles for destruction or misuse. The spymaster cannot allow this and wants you to infiltrate the compound and recover the Armor. But Imperial infiltration would violate the Concordant potentially sparking a new war. Therefore, you must either regain the armor without detection or kill everyone in the compound. The Thalmor Incident Part 2: You need to discover something from the Thalmor and must capture the ambassador and convince him to talk. The Coup: Some cities are gained by swords, others by words. In this campaign you will hatch and lead a conspiracy to remove the Jarl of Riften and replace her with someone more congenial to the EmpireRiot: The legion has regained most of Skyrim, but Windhelm stands impregnable and Tullius' men cannot take it. The spymaster needs you to destabilize the city before invasion is possible. Luckily for you, the Dunmer are already a powder-keg waiting to explode. The Agent: Sometimes agents turn bad. They go to the other side, they breakdown, or try to quit. The spymaster needs you to deal with one such agent.Closing the File: In times of peace men of war are no longer needed, especially when they know the Empire's dirtiest secrets. For this reason the spymaster has decided to have you killed. You must confront the spymaster in his lair, kill him and take his place if you ever want to be secure. This faction would add much to the imperial campaign, and would give real importance to social skills. I'd like to hear what you think.
