I really am getting frustrated with this game. it has the potential to be amazing except......all the bugs and constant crashes.

on restarting the game it crashes at exactly the same spots each time..

come on developers, you really are making no friends here...!!!

have you considered going to Steam (assuming you got the game from Steam) and reporting your issue?

I mean , if you expect the developers to look through these forums , you are almost always mistaken

contact the developers through Steam , through their social media if need be (though you should keep it private and polite) and discuss the issues , or report the issues through the official system for this

because this post will only allow you to vent , or at most get in contact with other users who may suffer from the same issues (which , while it's nice to know that you aren't alone , won't fix the issues)

I do hope they fix the game , and that it would work properly for you

and in case you got me wrong , feel free to continue discussing the issues of the game here , you have every right to do so

I just hope you could direct the developers of the game to the issues you are encountering , and hopefully have them fixed

They also have their own Forum here https://forum.kingdomcomerpg.com/

But thats probably more of a self help thing between other players

If you want to make an official bug report with DXDiag report, and as detailled a description of where exactly you are getting CTDs send them an email and DXDiag attachment to :

[email protected]

But I wouldn't bother if you are using mods (presumably anyone participating in Nexus forums are here because they also use Nexus Mods for Kingdom Come). They need actual game related bug reports from vanilla games which have not seen any mods installed, not mod related reports. There are a lot of CTD issues being reported to the ether on Steam Discussions for Kingdom Come which often turn out to be mods which need updating to be compatible with the latest version of the game = Warhorse cannot reproduce such problems so the reports are just wasting peoples time.

So if you have been using mods (and old configs), get your game back to vanilla state with no mods installed and start a new game. Work up to the point you can replicate the crash, then give a detailed report.

Its the only way these things will get weeded out. Mods for this game include modified game files, which when installed replace (indirectly) the content of the original file. So if the modified file includes code from an older version of the game, and that file has been updated by the developers in a newer version of its patches, then by keeping the mods replacer files installed you are reverting fixes, to older code, and possibly causing a domino effect of issues with other parts of the game which now expect the fixes to be in place for everything to work correctly .. So anyone with mods installed can actually be causing issues themselves.

Thanks for the informative replies guys.

I only recently downloaded the mods I am using, is it best to track them back down again and re-download them? that way I know they are compatible with V. 1.4.1 which is what I am currently running

If you've downloaded the mods using this profile , you can check your download history to find these mods easily

and you should make sure that they are compatible with the current version of the game

I'm not sure what would happen if you simply update these mods and try running your current save , but I would check what people say in the mod's pages

if authors recommend that you start a new character , you should do so (generally speaking , mod authors know best about their mods and how to best use them)
