WILL80CRAZY
Okay so I tried hoping onto Skyrim for the first time in about a month. As soon as I was in game I noticed the pixels were flashing and corrupted so I thought Id try reinstalling. When that didn't work I attempted updating my drivers to 12.3. Now that I have finished updating I tried to get on the game. After hitting play from the Skyrim launcher it immediately said Skyrim has stopped working. Now I don't really know how to fix this w/o another AMD Catalyst driver update so I am currently attempting another reinstall. Here is my computer specs and I hope someone has already solved this problem otherwise Im probably not gonna be playin til next driver update. Specs:Windows 7 64bitAMD Radeon HD 67004GB RAMAMD Phenom II x6 Processor Tell me if you need more information then that. Thanks.
SmilingAhab
Problem is that 12.3 is the latest. I miss my nVidia laptop. Same thing happened with me in Karthspire. Updated to 12.3, can't go near the place. At least I think that could be the problem.
WILL80CRAZY
Well at this point I've finished reinstalling and nothings changed. I cant even get into the game as Ive seen most people just continue having the corrupted particles where after downloading the 12.3 update my game wont even start. WILL80CRAZY
All right I fixed it. Apparently the Cap driver installs from AMD was what was causing the ctd from launch. All I had to do to fix was make sure that all the Caps were uninstalled including the newest one for 12.3. Hope this helps someone.

If it is not installed then you cannot uninstall it. Lots of people have this issue with 12.3... although it may have worked for the OP, CAP was not the problem but instead it was 12.3 itself. CCC 12.3 only seemed to work well for the new 7xxx series.
SmilingAhab
Just tried 12.1 and 12.4, neither fixed the problem. So I dunno what to do :ohdear:
