bastardofbodom
I'm pretty sure you can't do textures/meshes with the GECK. I recommend programs such as Gimp, Blender or Nifskope for such things, and then importing them to the GECK, to be placed into the game. You may want to look into some tutorials for such programs, since I have a very limited knowledge of modding, and there are plenty of tutorials floating around the Nexus Forums and general internet. Cyberlazy
I would recommend starting on reskining existing models, as that seems to me the simplest thing to do. Then practice in geck making new armors and placing them in the world somewhere (Most compatible method to add things to the game). these armors would just be copys of existing armors with your new skin and new stats. kanis999
I'm interested in modding New Vegas too. So I'll be monitoring this :). Edited April 29, 2012 by kanis999
Sirropoo
Im surprised that FNV is attracting any modding, dam game crashes ruining it ...know of more than one modder who've backedoff thier mods (support/enhancing) because the game just wasn't stable and exasperated efforts. LOL, awful hard to trouble shoot mod load order/script etc when "crashes" are the norm. But as above mentioned, start off small.
