Crucible375
Hello. I know a great many load orders exist, I do with with Skyrim, not so much Fallout as I am very new to the game. I do notice most of what I place in my load order is a bunch of things most here don't use, but I love my mods and see no reason to play if they can't be used. As long as the game is running, its a blast. The minute I go back to it the next day it stays on a load screen and does nothing forever. I'm not sure of the way we do things here. I'm not involved much and have never actually received a response on any of the forums for this. I work long hours and just would like to game when I have time. Please help. WastelandAssassin
does the XBox actually have a load order you can control?because it's all done through Bethesda's interface inside the game , isn't it? whatever the case , you should really take the question to Bethesda.net , as this is a forum for PC moddingconsole mods are only found on Bethesda.net , so you are far more likely to find console users there , and receive an answer from people who have actual experience with this
Crucible375
Yes, we have to set the load order on our own. My Skyrim load order was actually taken from a PC modder, its been working nicely but the mods are a bit less odd than my choices for Fallout 4. They are no help at Bethesda and I'm close to saying screw it. I work a lot and have other crap than to worry it much. Just wanted to play a bit. WastelandAssassin
well , if you post your load order (and assuming these mods are also available for PC and can be found here on the Nexus) , maybe we'll be able to help youhonestly I had no idea you can actually manage your own load order on consoles (I didn't know Bethesda gave such functionality , but I've never used any mod from Bethesda.net)hopefully someone here will be able to help you with this
Crucible375
Yes, I just put the mods on the board. My whole system crashed and couldn't get in so when I cleaned the reserve the load order was lost. Then I spent about an hour putting in the load order and it crashed again. I turned the game back on and the order was lost again. The issue is definitely console related. I have a great PC, but I don't put games on it. I do far too much work on it and have to then buy a third PC as I use the PC and laptop for business only. That's why I stayed with console. I don't have a ton of time anyways. bbiller
Well, I can suggest a few things, but it's going to be some (correction: a lot of, instead of some) work.1. As far as I am aware the console ports of Fallout 4 have the same screens we do, so you have a mods section and a creation club section. In the mods section those of us on PC can look at the in-game mod list and load order along with seeing updates for the various mods we have (check which button you need to press for what). Once you can see the list, be aware that as far as I know you have a 256 mod limit like us, but you also have that physical space limit we don't. You'll want to check on yours, if you're close to that, that could be part of the problem. There may be a way to gain access to the internal space and a few of the files (console is a heavily restricted version of a pc after all), but I don't have the knowledge on that front and the creator of the console is going to restrict that in the user agreement, too. What you will need to do at this point is once you've found the options to alter what mods are active and the order they are in, you're going to make a text file list of that order. You have that here somewhat, so you've got a good chunk done already. Here's what's next:1b: Head to bethesda.net and find the general load order guide there. Save that page and have it open locally on a computer where you have the text file list.1c: In the list text file, copy and paste the load order guide headings. Under these heading you will place the various mods you have, according to the rules from the guide. Please note: ALL and I mean ALL of the files for Fallout 4 itself (Main Fallout 4 esm file, all the DLC (include the hi res texture pack here), and all Creation Club content (now and future)) goes first, in that order. The rest follow the guide, though you may be able to keep all the pieces of a mod together with a bit of work. This will require seeing what dependencies each mod has, but the good news is when you're adjusting the order in game, it will not allow some mods to go higher in the list than absolutely possible, but you will be doing a lot of button pressing (if you could import and export the plugins list like we can that would help a ton).1d: Assuming you've done all the checking you can, set the order in game to what's on your new list from the guides help. I will advise have scrap everything near last, though there may be a core file that needs to be the last of the esm's (check my form post "need some help and issues with some tools" or something like that, and check toward the bottom of page 2. I posted my order there. That should give you an idea of the kind of text file you want to have and I have a few of your mods in my game, so that will help with a little of what goes where.1e: With everything in place, save the new order.1f: That should have the order fixed and do make sure the mods are up to date. When you update, that will alter the order, so do find the mod in question and if luck is on your side it will hopefully be in about the same place you wanted, or at least the same category section. If not, move it and save that order.1g: Try loading a saved game you know uses your mods, if you're very lucky there isn't too much save rot or bad entries in it and the game will pick up from that point. Hope this helps and enjoy the journey.
