waswar1
Greetings, individuals! Throughout the past several days, I have fixed my installation of Morrowind. This has lead me to return to nexusmods, for I desire to use modifications. I have tried using the new layout. When the new layout first came out, there were a number of notable flaws that greatly hindered ease of access. However, I was hoping that several days of using it would allow me to get used to its design. Much to my annoyance, the new layout has had no major improvements since its inception. If most layouts are meant to achieve ease of access, the new layout must have had difficulty of access in mind, simply because some of the changes are so egregiously backwards in their thinking that the experience was not all too positive. I didn't lose my patience in the bizarre decision to have black windows take up the whole screen and do nothing before a mod image even loads, or the unecessary use of drop down numbers when "jump to first" or "jump to last" buttons to shift through search results would have sufficed in a fraction of the time. No, it was my inability to check mods at the front page. Nor was it the bizarre decision to not have mod images expanded in size when one mouses over the hot mods, so one could get a better look at them without waiting a huge amount of time by opening the mod, and proceeding to try and load an image before sitting back and alt-tabbing to watch videos on youtube whilst the black screen dominates one's page for the foreseeable future. No, it was the fact that I was unable to return to the front page of the modding site for the particular game I was searching for mods for, without having to be directed through that catalog list, or beign directed to a memo for the nexusmods which is hiring. This is counter-intuitive, as, even disregarding its inconvenience to me, I offer no useful services to Nexusmods.com, aside from requesting that the new layout be less horrendous. It is for these reasons that old.nexusmods.com be restored, until advancements are made to make the layout less horrendous. It's been around for six months. The lack of meaningful progress in making mod downloading useful for PC users is really unacceptable, considering this is a website that has subscriptions and accepts support from individuals to keep it running. DrakeTheDragon
If you want to return to the specific game's front page from whereever else you currently are on the site, simply click the Nexusmods logo at the top left, right next to the "We're hiring" badge you already mentioned. It will always take you there.
