Werne
EWE Stormfront Studios Load Order Fix.espEWE Load Order Fix.esp You don't need these two, you don't have Stormfront Studio Presents and you don't have any other mods changing energy weapons. As many before said, read the description and readme, all you need is usually said there, sometimes several times. Also, read comments, instead of learning from your own mistakes you can learn from other people's mistakes. Edited April 25, 2012 by Werne
Grovsie28
Yeah, thanks all sorted now. I don't quite get the fact i have to uncheck any broken steel plugins, as i have broken steel installed, at least i bought it, and when i load the game, it says loading extra content, so i assume thats that. Ive had broken steel before it loads automatically doesn't it?
Werne
You need to load Broken Steel through FOMM, you need to check it in your load order like any other plugin otherwise it won't work. Also, it needs to be in your Data folder not the hidden GFWL one (if you use Games For Windows Live). If you have GFWL copy of FO3, use GFWL Disabler to get rid of it. Grovsie28
Downloaded the disabler, installed it, selected disable, and then pressed move DLC's and it says none found? Do i need to find it and move it to Data manually? if so where is it? Thanks. Edited May 5, 2012 by Grovsie28
Werne
That means you don't have any DLCs. Are you sure you have it? Did you get the "Broken Steel Loaded: Level Cap Raised to 30" after you exit 101, before you disabled GFWL? I don't know how it works if downloaded through Games For Windows Live (since I have GOTY on disc) but when I disabled GFWL and moved the DLCs it worked just fine. Check that you have Broken Steel in the DLC folder. Here's where your DLCs should be: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Xlive\DLC for XPC:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\DLC for Win 7 Edited May 5, 2012 by Werne
Grovsie28
It's not there, there is no App Data folder. I had it in the past when i played the game normally, i know that for sure. I never got the message after exiting 101 this play through, but ive been using the FOMM. Can you download it manually? Not sure what iam supposed to do, as ive payed for it once. Can't find any option on windows live to get it?
Grovsie28
managed to re-download it, and when i fired up FOMM it asked to move it to data folder so i did. It appears in mod list now, so i check it, and the other one's for Broken Steel. Here is my list: Fallout3.esmMart's Mutant Mod.esmEVE.esmEWE Energy Weapons Enhanced.esmBrokenSteel.esmMart's Mutant Mod.espMart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.espMart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.espMart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.espMart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.espMart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.espEWE DLC Addon.espEWE Supermutant Energy Weapons.espAER10V2 Laser Rifle.espLevel50BrokenSteel.esp Total active plugins: 15Total plugins: 22 It crashes, though if i uncheck the EWE DLC addon it works ok. Also once you disable GFWL you loose your saves. If read the readme, and copied the saves, but i can't find a save folder in Fallout 3 to copy them to? Werne
Of course it crashes, you can use EWE DLC Addon.esp ONLY if you have all the DLCs (Broken Steel, Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta). If you don't have all of them, you can't use that plugin. Also run BOSS to sort your load order, it's in a mess. Here are the basics of how to arrange the load order:Masterfile=.esmPlugin=.esp Fallout3.esm - Main, always on top no matter whatAnchorage.esm - DLC ThePitt.esm - DLC BrokenSteel.esm - DLC PointLookout.esm - DLC Zeta.esm - DLC<other masterfiles>Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esp - If you use it, which you currently don't<other plugins>Merged patch.esp - Always last There are some variations however. For an example, StreetLights.esm needs to be placed before BrokenSteel.esm, and Fallout Remastered needs to be placed after the merged patch and it must not be merged in a patch with the rest of the plugins. And I always advise people to make a merged patch, no matter how many mods they have or how simple they are, so I'll say the same to you too. How to make a Merged Patch:1. Start FO3Edit2. Load your mods3. When everything loads select all your mods, then right-click on the mod list and select Create Merged Patch4. A small window will pop up asking you to name your patch, write something and click Create5. Now when exiting FO3Edit another window will pop up named Save Changed Files, click OK6. When starting FOMM or FO3 Launcher put your patch LAST in the load order and check it You should delete the old one and make a new merged patch each time you activate/deactivate mods, otherwise your game will most likely crash.
