No items in containers

Hello, so I just started a new play through and I ran into a strange problem at Sanctuary where almost all the containers were empty, and the ones that aren't empty only contain like 1 item. Now I'm not new to Fallout 4, been playing since day one, and been modding it the whole time which is why I'm kind of confused by this as I've never seen the issue before. I did, however, take a 4-5 month break from the game and just got back to it recently. I've double checked, and am almost positive all my mods are up to date, but I have no idea what's causing the issue.

Basic tip is head to Bethesda.net, pick up the general load order guide and make sure you follow that. The import and export load order options in NMM will help (as will lines with a # to start, the importer will ignore those that way you can organize the text file). Once you have things sorted, try checking the containers again and also if you have the beacon station manned for Salvage Beacons, craft one or give yourself one and see if you can toss one in a container with a lootable item. If it works, when you exit the transfer dialogue the beacon should ask where you want the items to go.

 

If they don't work, adjust where they are in that part of the load order list. See my "Need some help and issues with some tools" post (it should have a title close to that), page 2, toward the bottom; for a good example load order text file that NMM will import and I do use those beacons, so where I have them is about where you should, too.

 

Hope that helps and do note NMM can have issues with ba2 files not being linked where they should, so if textures diappear, that's why.
