AurianaValoria1
Rhaine smirked as she crossed her arms, leaning against the wall of the corridor, "I wish it were something that simple. No, I wish to speak of Nawen. She's practically shut herself away in her room. Conall says that he heard yelling in her chambers the first night here and that she expressed feeling unwell after he inquired about it the following morning. It has him quite worried. The fact she has not shown her face to the rest of us has me worried as well. Conall did tell me that you have been speaking with her, though, on occasion. What do you know of this situation, Shalena?"
Deleted6317247User
The piratess listened to Rhaine expressing her concerns. "I didn't hear any yelling," she said and tried to remember if she really didn't hear anyone yelling but she was far too busy that evening to focus on what was happening in other parts of the estate. "I am positive that one name crossed your mind, maybe Conall's too." The piratess added. "He was in the bathhouse with me and Llhunarra before going to deal with some 'possibly unpleasant business'," Shalena continued, "at first I figured that the business he mentioned went really well, was hoping to catch a glimpse or two when I barged into her room after she didn't show up during breakfast but I only found her sitting alone in her room. She looked really upset too." "I didn't pry her for information cause I know she wouldn't share anything with me," the piratess said as she leaned against the wall as well, "but the situation between them has been tense for a while now. I figured one of them put an end to their relationship or however you want to call it. She wouldn't be so upset otherwise, and I don't recall seeing Tannin around much either." AurianaValoria1
Rhaine's eyes narrowed as she absorbed Shalena's words. At last, she gave the piratess a short nod, "Thank you. It seems I shall have to pay Nawen a visit, then." With that, she pushed off from the wall and began climbing the stairs back up to the bedrooms. When the Doomguide finally reached the drow's door, she knocked rapidly upon it and spoke, "Nawen? It's me, Rhaine. We need to talk."
Deleted6317247User
"Always happy to share bits of gossip," Shalena said as she watched the Doomguide walking off before heading back to the common room, hoping to find something more to eat. Nawen was standing in the balcony, enjoying the view when she heard someone knocking on the door. Before she even got a chance to wonder who it was she heard Rhaine's voice. The drow walked back into the room and walked up to the door. She opened it and let Rhaine inside. She had a pretty good guess what about she wanted to talk about. "I'm guessing you want to talk about why I haven't left this room in days?" Nawen asked as she closed the door behind Rhaine.
nethgros
Everyone had shuffled out of the room to witness some commotion and Nydeshka took this opportunity to collect himself for his departure. To his great relief his mask was nearby, but he decided not to don it out of respect for his host; it was more for bloody vengeance type situations anyway. Picking up the mask revealed a small spark hovering just underneath the mask, which brightened and grew upon 'seeing' Nydeshka again. It flew around his head, and he chuckled slightly; it seemed he hadn't lost his companion either. Lastly, his weapon sat propped against the foot of the bed, and that too he left in the room before going to see just where he was and what was going on. The common room sported the largest crowd of people he had seen in a long time, and frankly it was rather overwhelming; all the chatter, hustle and bustle. He sought refuge by making his way to the only familiar face in the room, the half-elf that had saved him. He spoke with a heavy Rashemi accent, betraying his origins to all but the thickest, "I just wanted to thank you again. It's not often I come across such kindness. I'm Nydeshka." He offered a large, glowing, rune covered hand to Amendale.
Llhunara
A brow lifts at the male's response. Taking another bite of her apply Llhunarra takes note of the red head leaving with Shalena now. It seemed there was much to discuss in private, maybe she would question the piratess later in case it was anything that might concern her. Honestly, she didn't trust Rhaine, having learned her name over the previous days, the woman came off as a little...odd to the rogue. She also seemed to be one of the leaders of the group, whether that was official or not she was still unsure. As the pitcher of water was delivered she addresses him once more. "Return you say, it makes it sound as if they are misplaced weapons or some trinket to be handed to back to those with the "rights" to own them. They risked much to gain their freedom, would you so easily see them back in chains?" Of course the half - elf was assuming a lot in this scenario, but something about the way he had dropped them to the floor and how he spoke about them irritated her. Every individual should be left to choose their station in life, not be forced into servitude or sold as if they were livestock.
josh900
"They risked much yes." The half orc said. "But it's obvious that they're not strong enough to last out on their own. Being out on their own would mean certain death for these two, better that they remain in servitude until they are strong enough to survive, otherwise it'd just be a waste." He explained. "Some would say that it's better to die free than to live as a slave. Those people are idiots."
AurianaValoria1
Rhaine entered Nawen's room and stopped about halfway to the bed, sighing and crossing her arms again, "Yes. I do. Conall has expressed a deep concern for you, and I must say that I am worried as well. Conall told me what he heard our first night in this place, and of what you said when he asked you about it. Shalena also informed me of what she knows, and between the two of them, I have a good idea of what started all of this. But I want to hear the story from you before I do anything about it. What happened?"
Deleted6317247User
Nawen sat down on the bed before looking at Rhaine. "Tannin came by at night," she said, "wanted to fix our situation, but as you already guessed it turned out differently." She paused for a brief moment thinking over her words. "Ever since you told me what happened at the ship, I've been thinking about little else, but as he came by and spoke about it, I just got really angry at him," she looked down at her hands but continued talking, "Conall must have heard the result of my anger." She smiled sadly and looked back at Rhaine. "I was always used to try and make other people happy, sometimes at the sake of my own feelings, but he wasn't willing to even try, let alone give up something to make me happier." The drow paused again and remained quiet for a few moments before speaking again. "For the first time I thought I deserved better and... ended it. That is it." AurianaValoria1
Rhaine's eyes flashed with anger, but not at Nawen. No, the Doomguide felt that she could never be angry at Nawen. She hated Tannin for making Nawen feel this way...for leading her on and then disappointing her so. And now that she knew he would not give a thought to Nawen's happiness, to what she wanted, only his own wants and desires... "That bastard," Rhaine hissed, clenching her fists in outright fury, "You do deserve better, Nawen. I am so terribly sorry that he hurt you in such a way, and if you wish it, I will have him leave this party when I see him next. I do not need him causing more grief for you and more tension in our group than he already has. If you need him gone to make you more at ease amongst us, I will more than happily ensure that he departs immediately."
