Quintatas
"I'll tag along," Xundus replied to Nawen. Hunting would do him good; and, like Daud, he realized it would certainly be much better than watching the others bathe. "Let me grab my equipment," said the drow as he headed into the forest. A few minutes later, he emerged fully-equipped. "Ready."
AurianaValoria1
"I will be joining you as well," Theia suddenly announced to Nawen. The centauress felt that she needed to keep an eye on these two drow, and she wasn't about to let them out of her sight. She did not feel comfortable with them both leaving the company of the others...what if they were running off to plot something terrible together? Down at the lake, Rhaine listened to Tak'we's inquiry and laughed lightly, "Unlike thri-kreen, Tak'we, we 'softskins' must bathe ourselves if we are to keep our bodies healthy...and not repel others with foul odors. It's easy enough for us to dry off afterwards." She began lathering her soap bar and washing her arms, adding, "Believe me, it would probably be just as difficult for us to comprehend thri-kreen ways as it is for you to understand ours." Dagny giggled with amusement as she watched Tannin dunking Hexol up and down repeatedly. Zorica, however, was too entranced by Tenebris's creation to notice the comedic moment. She watched with her mouth hanging open as the half-vampire's personal bathhouse sprang into being. The half-drow raised her hand and pointed, remarking with a whistle, "I gotta get me one of those." josh900
"Yeah give me a second." Tannin called out to Nawen, not at all comfortable with the people choosing to go with her. He climbed out of the pond and cast a simple Cantrip to dry himself off quickly and went to his pack for a fresh change of clothes. "Don't have much in the way of hunting weapons I'm afraid buut, another good pair of eyes never hurt anyone." He said as he smiled at Nawen. "Bring back something good!" Hexol called out to the hunting party. "Todd?" Gizzy cried out as he crawled out of Hexol's pack. "No Todd's please! I don't know who he is but I'm getting sick of hearing his name!" "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!!" "No Giz, you don't need Todd or help, now hush." "GARABLABALAPERP!" Giz suddenly exclaimed before looking around with his eyes wide open, as if wondering where the yelling of gibberish came from. "Todd?" Giving up, Hexol lowered back into the water so that it covered his mouth and whatever he was saying, spewing bubbles instead of complaints and grumbles. tokyobiohazard
Ianthe watched with delight as her companions stripped down to their underpants and began to bathe. She broke out in a large, open-mouthed grin and looked to Arva and Aera before running in a full sprint toward the water, stripping her clothes off as she ran. She dove into the water in one swift motion and began to corkscrew and flip in the water as if she were fluid like the lake itself.Aera blushed beneath her fur. She supposed if everyone was getting in the water, she would as well, and her fur would serve to preserve her modesty. She pulled her outfit off and waded into the water.Ianthe popped out from under the water not too far from Rhaine and caught the bar of soap that was thrown at her. It smelled wonderful, and Ianthe dove under the water with it again, propelling herself with her legs together as if she had a mermaid's tail.It was then that Aera's eyes widened and she glanced at Arva, still on his horse, "She's stark naked!"Arva snapped out of his perverted thoughts involving the women of the party. He then leaped off his horse instantly and then began to hop and wiggle out of his clothes. He threw his shirt so hard it flew onto his horse's muzzle. The horse spooked and ran straight into the water, flicking its head this way and that, before throwing the shirt off and rearing up, soaking Aera's fur. Arva hopped on one leg as he tried to escape his pants, then ran toward the water. He snatched his shirt from the water and swam after Ianthe, "Come on, put the shirt on!"But she was very far away by now, and he didn't feel like swimming out that far, so he instead said, "Well, I guess if she's comfortable with everyone seeing her... That way... I am as well."Aera whispered to him, "You mean you're not enjoying being able to see such a sight? I thought you wanted to see her nude?"He threw back his head and thrust his arms out toward the distant nymph exaggeratedly, "Not like this! Gods, not like this!"Aera shrugged and took the recovering horse's reins, before leading it out of the water and releasing it. She sat down on the shore near Tak'We and Dagny, "Men are complicated creatures."
Deleted6317247User
Nawen picked up her bow, and called Rhegar to come out from the water, where he happily swam among the rest of the party. She waited for Daud, Xundus and Theia to collect their weapons, but when she heard Tannin saying that he will join as well. "We could use an extra pair of eyes," she said as she waited for him, "but you don't have to go if you don't want to." Nawen obviously didn't mind Tannin joining them, but still, to her it seemed that he'd rather stay in the water than go out hunting, especially when she couldn't guarantee if they're going to find anything in the first place. When everyone were ready to go, Nawen walked deeper into the forest, clearly happy to be in her element again after so many weeks of sea travel, cities and inns. She noticed a rabbit running off at the sight of them that Rhegar ran after, but since it was only one and not very big one, she decided to leave it alone. After walking some more, they stumbled upon a lake with the animal footprints nearby. "It must be the watering place." She said as she looked around for a good place to hide, and wait. "There," she said as she pointed at the large thick bushes to the left of the lake, "it should be a good place to wait." Nawen walked towards the bushes and sat on the ground behind them. "Yep. Good place indeed."
Brutii
Daud took his crossbow from his back and loaded it, following the Drow. He remained as quiet as humanely possible, and upon arriving near the small lake he traced the tracks with his eyes. He disagreed with the drow on this. While it certainly hid them from view, would they not be sighted by an animal coming from that direction? Forests could be lively, but it had no order. Chaos was, by its definition, unpredictable . It was possible they could see one hundred animals, or just one. And if that one was spooked by the group, they would have done it. Still, he didn't voice his concern, out here things may be different from what he knew. Such a vast and beautiful world, why had he rarely gone to places like this when he was younger? He sighed. Because life was not kind.Being deep in the forest, he decided he would wait upon a tree for his prey. It was something interesting about people... They rarely bothered to look up, and he figured the trait would carry to most animals as well. He had to admit, his knowledge on hunting animals was far inferior to his knowledge of hunting people, but he knew most prey had eyes on the sides of their heads, which he guessed would allow them a wider view... But would that mean they would be more likely to look up? Time would tell.He climbed one of the tree that made up the tree line on the edge of the lakes shore, and concealed himself among the leaves of the interlocking branches two of the trees, peering down with his vigilant eyes, waiting for any sign of animals. He didn't bother to use invisibility, he doubted he would need it, he shouldn't be seen here...
josh900
Tannin watched as Ianthe stripped and ran to the water, part of him suddenly very much wanting to stay behind. But his protective nature towards Nawen pulled him away. He kept close to her as they walked, keeping an eye on Xundus more than his surroundings. When they finally came to a spot that Nawen considered a good one to wait in, he sat next to and spoke softly. "You know we bought more than enough rations for the trip. There are better ways of getting out of taking a bath with everyone else you know." He said with a knowing smirk.-------------------------------- Lucas had just turned back around when Ianthe came running in stark naked. He stared at her as he dove into the water and swam around, eyes nearly bulging out of his skull. It was the first time he had ever seen a nude woman before, but before the shock wore off and he could enjoy the view he felt like his heart had just exploded. He clutched at his chest as his eyes rolled back and he sunk down into the water. He was down for only a few seconds when he was pulled up out of the water and laid out on the ground by Azuris. "Congrats Ianthe, you nearly killed the kid." He called out to the half-nymph. "Still breathing though so he just passed out." He said, wiping away the blood trickling out from Lucas's nose. "Heee might need some healing though."
Quintatas
As they set off to hunt, Xundus began to wonder how he would catch anything. He didn't have a bow, and his hand-crossbow was long since destroyed, leaving him with his rapier and several throwing knives. When they came to a stop, the drow set about making deadfall traps and snares, mainly using pieces of meat from his rations as bait. He didn't know too much about hunting on the surface, but he had learned enough to provide for himself when he first left the Underdark. With the last snare set, he made his way back to the others. "I've set a few traps. I guess now we wait for something to come along."
tokyobiohazard
Ianthe watched from afar as Lucas collapsed into the water and covered her mouth with her hand, "I forgot... Modesty, right?"By this point, Arva had begun to swim to her, and she had begun to go toward him. They met up within minutes, and Ianthe slid on the shirt with minimal difficulty."Oh, gods dammit. Go put on your underclothes." Arva muttered as he not-so-accidentally caught a glimpse of her backside as they swam to shore, realizing he'd given her a white linen shirt. It, of course, covered her nakedness, but it was quite translucent while wet."I don't wear any." Ianthe said with a shrug as she stepped out of the water. She went for her saddlebags and pulled out a blanket, wrapping herself in it and sitting beside Aera, who had her toes dipped in the water."Aera gets to be naked," the nymph mumbled to nobody in particular. "I wish I had fur.""It's terribly hot." Aera remarked to Ianthe."But it's pretty and nobody cares if you're naked." The nymph replied, innocence in her voice that made Aera regard Ianthe as a child for a moment.Arva leaned down to the sitting weretiger, "She's like a kid with a really hot adult's body, right?""Don't be a pig." Aera responded, shaking her head."What are you talking about?" Ianthe asked, pulling her blanket tighter around herself. "We should start a fire soon!" The small nymph playfully pushed Arva's leg, who didn't budge because of his size. "I want to roast sausages tonight!" Aera stood up and grinned, shoving Arva as well. He did budge that time, quite a lot, in fact, nearly falling over with the strength of Aera's playful shove. "Alright, alright! Let's look for driftwood or something." As they all walked along the shores of the lake barefoot and half-dressed, Aera wondered if this was what it was like to be at the beach. There was sand between her toes and water lapping at her heels, so maybe this wasn't far off from being a beach. Their arms were full of driftwood by the time they'd walked about a mile along the shore, and there were still at least another few miles of shoreline, but they turned around and headed back to the group, Aera and Arva with arms full of wood, and Ianthe with handfuls of clam shells. Dropping their armfuls of driftwood, Arva and Aera exchanged a grin and then set about gathering rocks to build a pit in the sand. They busied themselves with this, while Ianthe dug out a pit, for several minutes before actually lining the pit, which took a little while as well. However, by the time they were finished, they had a very nicely built fire pit ready for when the sun went down. AurianaValoria1
Theia followed Nawen and the others, bringing up the rear. She had her bow unslung, carried loosely in one hand, her hooves stepping surprisingly lightly on the forest floor. When the shadowy man went up a tree, she rolled her eyes, "The animals may not see you up there, but the evening birds carry messages on their wings." She pointed to a small flock of nested birds that had been disturbed by his proximity, and they flew from their home with frightened and angry chatter. Then, the other drow started setting snares and traps, and the centauress shook her head, sighing heavily, "I highly doubt anything will come now that you've spread your smell all over the place." =============================== When Lucas fell into a dangerous swoon, Rhaine and Zorica both came running. The two had just finished bathing and rinsing themselves and had noticed a pale streak go flying into the water before seeing the squire faint. As Azuris pulled him out, the two women knelt over him. "What happened?" Zorica asked with a quizzical expression on her face as she glanced to Rhaine, "I don't quite understand..." The Doomguide shook her head, "Ianthe's half nymph, which means the charming power of her physical appearance - if not kept in check - is actually harmful to look upon. Seems he got an eyeful and suffered the consequences. Good thing she's only half, or he would probably be dead." She then cast a mild healing spell upon the squire to stop his odd nosebleed and any other physical damage he might have gotten from Ianthe - by accident, of course. The girl didn't realize the strength of her power... "Wow," Zorica simply said, straightening and putting her hands on her hips. As she did so, she noticed Ianthe - now wearing her partner's shirt - Arva, and Aera finishing a fire pit. The sky had gone completely purple now, and the stars began twinkling overhead. The half-drow then shivered as she began wading out of the shallows, "Good work...a fire's going to be nice." Meanwhile, Sir Meowsalot had wriggled his way out of her pouch and was now meowing at Gizmo. The brindle kitted looked this way and that before wiggling his bottom back and forth and then leaping to pounce atop the other cat.
