Tales of Faerun

While Llhunarra’s cheeks were slightly flushed it was not an aftereffect of the male dropping his robe, the alcohol in her system was to thank for that. As Tannin made his way into the pool, the rogue made no effort to hide her glance as she looks him over. There was no intent behind the once over other than getting a measure of his physical form. What stood out the most of course, were the countless scars. Quite on the younger side she had not known as many battles at it appeared the male had gone through, or perhaps it was torture, she did not know. Deciding to make no comment about it she smiles at his comment about the fine view.

“A fine view it is.” She agrees as the piratess finishes pouring some wine into her half full glass, claiming it made the mixture taste better. Offering a little shrug she dips under the water like she had when first entering the pool, the wine glass secure in Shalena’s hands so its contents were not endanger of mixing with the water. Remaining under for a moment she then resurfaces with her thick braids soaked once more. Blinking hot water away from her eyes she shifts towards the edge of the pool, rising out of the water slightly to grab the flask that still rests on the marble floor. With Tannin offered the bottle, Shalena holding the wine glass, and Llhunarra herself having the container, none of them were without drink.

“Cheers…to booze and a bath.” Offering the toast as she raises her own drink slightly before bringing it to her lips. The sweet wine mixed with the strong taste of whiskey sent a warm sensation through her as she downed a fair amount, doing so whether the other two joined in or not. Licking her lips when she was done the half-elf eyes Tannin for a moment before drifting over to Shalena’s side. Pressing in close she brings her lips up to the piratess’ ear, her free hand assisting by shielding her quiet words.

“How much do you want to bet he thinks I am telling you something far more devious than this?” She whispers to the other female, the red head’s eyes never leaving Tannin. Warm, slightly inebriated and looking for some fun her stare shifts from the male to Shalena as she slowly pulls away, wine darkened lips curling into a grin.

Tannin gladly took the bottle and joined in the toast. "Cheers." He said before taking a swig from the bottle. "Not bad, not bad.' He said in approval of the drink.

He kept his eyes on the two women, though they stayed on Llhunarra longer than they did on Shalena, whether he was simply appreciating her looks or for some other purpose was kept a secret.

He chuckled a bit of Llhunarra moved in closer to Shalena, making a show of whispering some unknown message in the pirate's ear. He leaned back against the edge of the pool and looked around the room a bit, deeply breathing in the warm, humid air.

Shalena joined in the toast as well. "Cheers to that." She said and took a sip from the glass. "Much better indeed." She thought to herself. She was a bit surprised when Llhunarra drifted closer to her, and grinned as the half-elf began whispering into her ear. She couldn't help but chuckle at her words, and then the girl pulled away it was Shalena who drew closer to whisper something back to the girl, her eyes not leaving Tannin. "I know better than to bet when I know I'd lose," she whispered, her hand helping to shield her whispering, "but, my you are quite mischievous," she said this part out loud before leaning closer again, "though I do have a few fun ideas of my own." The piratess continued whispering as she quietly shared her idea with Lhunarra, casting a quick glance at the dressing room before pulling away and winking with a smile at the half-elf as she did.

Glad they all joined in for the toast she was a bit disappointed when Tannin doesn’t seem to notice or perhaps cared for their shared secrets. No matter, she was still having fun with the piratess and was pleased when she leans into whisper in her own ear. Letting him hear part of it made her chuckle a little, the unintentional laugh fitting in well with Shalena’s words. While the red head had missed Tannin’s eyes lingering on her a bit more than the other female, she did not miss the quick glance she made towards the locker room. Winking with the eye the male friend could not see she shows the girl her understanding. “And I am the mischievous one…”

With that fun coming later she rests back against the side of the bath for now, sipping her drink again before speaking, to both of them this time. “Tell me, why do you both travel with this group? Forgive me, but you seem quite the varied lot.” The sudden serious question perhaps catching them off guard, but the rogue had been wondering and now that she was oh so relaxed she felt it the perfect time to learn a little about them…beyond what they looked like in the nude.

Shalena leaned back against the edge of the pool and took a sip of the mixed wine from the glass. "I am here solely for treasure, my dear," the piratess chuckled, "most of them are a goody, law abiding bunch but so far traveling with them was worthwhile, even if I do miss the sea and those chaotic, seedy taverns at the docks and all those interesting people you could meet there." Shalena said and smiled dreamily, most likely remembering a fun event or two.

"It's been quite fun traveling with them despite our different outlook on many things," the piratess spoke again, "even if our meeting was far from pleasant for both sides." For a moment her expression changed as she remembered her tiefling friend Lyria, but shortly after a smile returned to her lips. "You see," she started, "I've tried to raid a particular merchant vessel and as it happened this lovely group were aboard the ship as well. The fight broke out and for a moment it seemed like we were going to win but then our dear Doomguide used the foolish superstition of my men to turn the tables and instead of being my hostages they became my guests because thankfully none of them are experienced sailors. If they were I'd probably wouldn't be here." Shalena said.

"Oh please, don't hold back on my account." Tannin said to the two. "I won't disturb you." He laughed.

Listening to Shalena's answer he couldn't help but interject. "Tiny little mistake there, I happen to be experienced at sailing, we kept you because you didn't kill us, despite your men's best efforts. I still flinch at the sound of a crossbow bolt." He said in a feigned upset manner.

"As for my own reasons, well.. Boredom mostly. Had been in Waterdeep for nearly four years straight and figured... well it was time to get out and meet some new people. The fact that my exit was forced is beside the point." He said said before taking another drink from the bottle.

"Yes yes, mock experience." Tannin said with a wave of his hand. "I don't claim to know everything, just what I do know. You pick up all sorts of skills while adventuring, After eighty years of it I had better have an impressive array of skills. Otherwise what would be the point of it all?"

Shalena had the rogue’s attention immediately, the mention of treasure drawing even the drunk girl’s full focus. Maybe there was some sort of benefit to tagging along with the strange crew beyond this establishment? Something to mull over for sure, coming across them in the middle of the sweltering heat might not have been so random after all. Just like the encounter on the sea the piratess talked about there was a reason that the group had crossed her path. Sipping her wine the red heads eyes shift back to Tannin as he explained his reason for traveling with the party. Boredom could weigh as heavy on ones shoulders as a heavy pack, the wandering half-elf understanding that quite well.

As the two exchange words Llhunarra sinks into the water a little more, sipping casually at her drink. While her face was flush from the alcohol and the heat of the water she barely noticed it, eyes lazily fluttering back and forth between her two bathing companions. When the conversation pauses for a moment she inserts herself back into it.

“Awww you two seem so fond of each other.” Smiling at them both as she drifts towards the center of the pool, her head the only part of her sticking out of the water now, well that and the hand holding her drink. “Let us talk more of this treasure though; do you come across much in your travels? It seems to me such a large group only means you have to split it that many ways…I am not sure where you have all traveled, but not many places contain loot to satisfy such a large number. Unless, there are members that care little for such things…” An eyebrow rising as the red head seemed quite interested in the idea. Normally she was more subtle when inquiring about such things, but the desire in her words was easy to hear in her current state.

Zorica had long separated from Amendale and had returned to the guest quarters alone. She did not know it yet, but she had chosen the room adjacent to Rhaine's for her own. Though her body yearned for rest, her now too-active mind would not let her, and so she summoned one of the servants to fetch her a bottle of wine in hopes that it would help her relax. An hour or two later, as she sat on one of the divans and watched the moon's slow progress across the sky, she did not know whether to laugh, cry, or finish the already near-empty bottle. Her eyes and cheeks were both hot as she held the goblet loosely in one hand. A new kind of stress had suddenly settled on her shoulders - resulting from the events of the night, no doubt - and it was not something she was sure she could handle...
