agerweb
I am sure I have seen this somewhere before but can't remember where. I need to make a duplicate DummyBook (eg DummyBookSh) that will only turn into a limited range of books, can you assign Leveled lists to it and if so how? Or is another way required? FrankFamily
Yes, afaik the reference should have a leveled list linked, cant recall which tab but it should be there (on the reference, you dont need a duplicate of the form)
agerweb
You would think, but there is nowhere to link anything to anything.
FrankFamily
That's odd, just checked, I'm seeing a "Leveled Item" tab (5th) on object references of items. It seems to require typing a filter (like "litem" to be able to select a leveled list) otherwise it just diplays NONE as the options.Dummies do have a keyword, not sure if that affects anything, non-dummy items also have the tab (though perhaps without the keyword it doesn't work?) JobVanDam
This is very easy to do in xEdit. Go to a RefID with a DummyBook and it says the leveled list it uses (the DummyBook doesn't always use a specific list it can vary depending on the RefID), hold Ctrl on the keyboard and click the left mouse button. It will take you to the levelled item list, right click the highlighted list item in the left hand menu, click on "Copy as override into...", select the mod or create a new esp where the list will be overridden. agerweb
Ah, got you. The DummyBook object comes with a default LLItemBookClutter setting, when you make a duplicate there is no default setting so I would have to add my new levelled list to every duplicate dummy book after I placed it in a cell which will be tedious. I guess the default setting is hardcoded. I don't think the Copy with overide does what I want. I tried it and it didn't add the new levelled list to another duplicate dummy book I had in the cell. JobVanDam
It might be like that in the CK but in xEdit the DummyBook and the levelled list it uses are separate.I could use the DummyBook and use an alchemy ingredient list and it will work.I think the DummyBook is used so at least you can see an outline of how much space the random book will take up, it does not determine what random item will spawn. agerweb
You can set each dummybook in the CK to be a different levelled list once you have put it ingame otherwise it defaults to LLItemBookClutter list. I was hoping to change that default for on a duplicate of it, but sadly I don't think you can; which means I can't avoid going through the several hundred I have already in my worldspace and changing individually. FrankFamily
This is perhaps something you could do in bulk with tes5edit. It's something I'm looking into now so no experience with it yet. This is the tutorial I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=568&v=5wMl6TY_Oqg Edited April 15, 2018 by FrankFamily
