LimeJello24
This is really strange. I am at the point of meeting Riordan for the first time. Through the bars you can see his hair works just fine. However, once he steps out of his cell to speak to my party, his hair goes missing: No one else has this issue, just Riordan. ANY suggestions on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it. theskymoves
IIRC, the action 'behind the bars' is a pre-rendered cutscene, and thus not affected by mods. That, of course, leads to the inevitable and age-old question: exactly what mods have you installed and how did you install them? From your screencap, I'll offer that you seem to have installed something that replaces Riordan's morph, but not whatever hairstyle mod is that mod's prerequisite. (Or installed the hair incorrectly.) Edited April 12, 2018 by theskymoves
LimeJello24
Yes. I too had assumed it was a head-morph from a mod that was not rendering properly. I removed said mor file but it did nothing. LimeJello24
As for how I installed the mods, well that depended on what the instructions told me. Some were dragged and dropped into the Override folder. Others were Dzip files and were installed DAOupdater.exe And some such as Natural Bodies needed the Modmanger. LimeJello24
And so it becomes even stranger. As I have said, releasing Riordan from his cell causes him to lose his hair. However, when I speak to him the Arl's estate his hair shows up just fine.

LimeJello24
That's... odd. Exactly. I do not get it either. Tried earlier to do some testing, trial and error as it were. Removed several MODs thinking they were the cause, Grey Wardens of Fereldan, Qwinns Bug fixes, DAO Redesign. Edited Changenmorph. After about 2 hours of trying to come up with a fix, I ran out of ideas.
theskymoves
Just some random observations, trying to make sense of the odd behaviour. (And failing!) Dragon Age Redesigned does include a morph for Riordan, that uses an alternate vanilla hairstyle... the foofy 'Loghain' braids, rather than his usual hair (which is the 'Cailan' hair, no?). In any event, they are both vanilla styles, and Riordan uses the same morph for the dungeon and Eamon's estate, so any error in the morph or missing asset would show up in both maps. (I will note that I am only familiar with the 'Recommended' version of DA Redesigned, and can't speak to the 'Lore' or Aesthetic' version of Riordan.) The chargenmorphcfg.xml file is definitely not the issue, since that only affects the assets available to the player in the in-game character creator... it's not used for NPC appearances at all. LimeJello24
I too am using the recommended settings of DAO Redesigned. And just to double-check, I went in my override folder and removed the morph file for Riordan. Loaded the game up and, he still has no hair. (sighs) Very very odd, indeed... *scratches head* The only other thing I can think of is that 'missing hair' could also be a helmet not loading properly, but of course Riordan doesn't have a helmet in the dungeon. :wallbash:
