Invisible weapons?

I am trying to narrow down what mod would cause this. I have a few weapons that are invisible, sometimes I see NPC's with invisible weapons as well. I have ensured archive invalidation is enabled and still have this issue. Not sure if I need to reinstall a mod and if so which one to be honest. Any ideas?

invisible models usually mean missing meshes

so it probably means you haven't installed the specific mod properly

 

what you should do is find someone with an invisible weapon , save the game (especially if it's an NPC , not an enemy) , kill the character and look through the inventory (this will tell you which weapon is invisible)

as long as you know which mods you are using , you should be able to determine which mod is causing the issue

make sure you have followed the mod's installation instructions properly (as described in the mod's description) , and also make sure that all the mod's files are in the correct places (sometimes mods seem to be installed properly , but the actual assets aren't placed into the game's data directory , so you get these errors)

this should hopefully fix the problem for you (note that if you have several mods installed , there may be more than one with this issue , so check to see if all missing weapons are from the same mod or not)

That is the problem, I do not recall installing any mod that would affect the weapons in this manner. The name of the weapons seem normal to me. A few of these invisible items are

 

Bayoneted Powerful Pipe Shotgun

Can Cudgel

Tactical Rapid Crude Blowback

 

I use NMM to install my mods and I cannot think of any mod that would add these weapons and cause the missing meshes/textures?

 

EDIT: It was due to better locational damage.

well , I've never used that mod , so I wouldn't know it would actually cause such issues

but I'm glad you found the cause , and I hope you managed to solve the issue as well

It was due to me using patches for several mods I did not have installed. It added leveled lists so enemies and NPC's had weapons without the meshes or textures installed.

Can you please tell me what mods were these patches? Because I have this weapons too, and never installed it.

I'm have the same issue. i've gone though my entire modlist and none of them say they add these weapons, yet they're everywhere ingame.
