Kinetophobia
So I've dredged up Skyrim after not playing it for a few months and I let steam update it to the most recent patch. All good. Now I opened Nexus Mod Manager because I knew my brother had downloaded a couple mods and I wanted to make sure to update them before playing. So I updated the two mods: SkyUI and Categorized Favorites. In addition, I downloaded the 'A Quality World Map with Roads' mod, but I made a mistake here in installing the INI file with NMM, which I don't think actually overwrote anything because it isn't designed to be installed. I played and saved but tried to remove this INI file installation with NMM, but this caused the save file to crash on loading so I put the file back in and it worked. Later, I decided to add another mod, Skyrim Performance PLUS. Now with this mod installed I tried to open my save file that had been saved with these other three mods. Instant crash to desktop. So I uninstalled the mod and tried again, and it crashed again. Next I tried uninstalling and reinstalling all of these mods and still it crashes to the desktop when I try to load any of my 'new' saves that were saved with this mod configuration. I can open my save from a few months ago and that works just fine. I feel like the ultimate answer will be that my new saves are just corrupt and I'll lose about 10 hours of gameplay and about 5 levels. Not the biggest deal but I'd like to know if there is possibly a way of fixing this. I'm worried this has something to do with installing the INI file from the Quality Map mod, but I can't imagine why that would proactively mess with my save after uninstalling and reinstalling a separate mod.
