Enchanting question with tesedit

I am trying to enchant a weapon with a spell in tesedit. It hasn't worked yet it doesn't show up on the weapon at all. Also if I use console commands to enchant a weapon with a soul trap type spell it will show up but say i have 0 seconds to use it. The vanilla soul trap also shows up with 0 seconds. The spell I am using is considered a power.

Any ideas or tutorials? Tesedit only please ck crashes due to master files.
