tmdgm24
Hi. New here. I just downloaded the skyrim numpad mod to be able to keymap the numpad 1-8, but there are no instructions with it. Can anyone help?
WastelandAssassin
well , it would be a lot easier if you actually posted a link to the mod you've downloaded , as each mod may require a different set of instructions , which depends on the mod , what it does and how it does itand I couldn't fine any numpad mod here (searching numpad gave no results)but if you could provide a link to the mod , I'm sure we would be able to help you figure it out
tmdgm24
Yea sorry. That probably would've helped. Link below. Copying from my phone so hope it works. File was the numpad bindable. Second one down. I just did the manual download https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/88/?tab=files

tmdgm24
Thx. By comments, I assume you are referring to the "Posts" section? I tried to copy and paste that top comment. The problem is it says to paste it into \skyrim\data\interface\controls\pc\ folder. Which is how the mod is formatted by file tiers. The problem is my skyrim folder only has \skyrim\data\interface\ folders. It does not have a controls folder in the interface directory. The only file in the mod is named "controlmap" There is a "controlmap_custom" in the root skyrim directory, but wasn't sure if it was the same one. I'm assuming I copy the mod "controlmap" over the file in the root skyrim directory?
WastelandAssassin
I did mean Posts section , sorry for that (always thought it was the comment section , never really looked at the name.....) as for the folders , you won't have the controls folder in that path (unless you have a mod that introduces this folder)so all you have to do is make this folder inside it , and the pc folder inside that , and put the controlmap.txt inside it (or you could just copy the controls folder from the downloaded archive into your interface folder , as the mod seems to have the correct folder structure)
tmdgm24
K. Thx. I didn't think it was that simple. Usually with mods you have to replace an existing file in an existing folder structure. I'll give it a try tonight. Worst case I guess I can delete the folders and controlmap file if it doesn't work. thx!
